ZZZ.. why u test FPS when u on Vsync LOLZ.....
For me, it doesnt make any difference if I turn off Vsync as my eyes cant see the difference anything higher than 40 FPS I believe. Also, I dont like my games to have all the screen tearing while I am scrolling around lol. Another reason is because I am not trying to see what's my max FPS, just trying to see if i can play it smoothly. If you like, I can do it for you.

As for the temp, i have seen ppl running 4890 at 100 celcius and its still ok lol but I dont recommend doing that in order to preserve the card's lifetime.

Ther reason reason why you wont see any difference in AA is because your running it at high resolution. You can find some articles on this on the web. That's why I ask you to tune down the AA at the first place because practically you wont be able to see any difference. You can see the difference if you tune up AF though, if your eyes are sharp enough tongue.gif

In that mission sooner or later you will lose the island to Lucius. If I remember correctly, after you had save the people on other island, please kept your ship safe from Lucius ship. don't bother to fight with his ship. In the early time of the mission:
1. try to build tower on the south of the island. Send the army camp to the south too. After Lucius army arrive, he will conquer small part of the south. Just kept defending until all your tower and army camp is destroyed. ( Yes you cannot win after him)
2. before the attack started, build the fish den and make sure you have the enough resources to build new warehouse at the north of the island.
3. After a while Lucius will start to conquer the island from the south. Just make sure the city is fully fortified with wall and tower. Your structures like fish den, warehouses and other farms at the south will be destroyed and that annoying lady will ask you to send a letter for help to the orient advisor.
After that the advisor will send a ship to pick up you from the island and that the end for that mission.

I cannot remember the details. It is been a while since I finish that mission.

Just installed this game yesterday. I don't like Caesar but I love Zeus/Emperor. And I'm glad this game is not as complicated as Caesar but yet as fun as Zeus/Emperor!

I'm using 8600GTS and can only run medium settings... Tried high settings and the visuals are really impressive (shaders/reflection on water) but too slow to play. sad.gif

Just started Chapter 3 (or is it Chapter 4 can't remember lol) and seems to be having problem trying to get income. Built too many buildings at start I think and too little houses. Trying to expand to another island using orient buildings but zzz they want to eat dates instead of fishes.

And yea like someone mentioned earlier... How do you discover the secret quests? I waited for some time to see if any quest will turn up before completing my primary one... Yet none turn up and when I finish the chapter I still see I missed some quests. The only chapter which I 'fully' completed is chapter 1. laugh.gif

Oh, and a technical question. When I save a game, then load it after, I notice my minimap will be covered by the fog of war again. The game itself is fine, but the minimap will be covered. Can't even see my own island in the minimap. Anyone face this issue also?

Tips on how to earn extra income
Campaign :
Produce extra goods when you reach higher tier
Example
You we're selling mass produce linen when you advanced and able to produce leather jacket mass production it and sell it to make more income

Also don't sell it directly to the npc harbour...each time you sell reduces 1/5 of the price. Instead sell it on your harbour and let them come to you

If possible get to envoy products. Coffee sells good and perfume is insane
Senario :
Same as above and if you have honour to spare upgrade your npc's trade fleet

Each level adds more ships for them to come more often and more budget for their expenses

Also about selling stuffs in your harbour
QUOTE
Passive selling screen:

When you click crate+coin icon, you will see something like the thing here on the right. You click "+" sign to pick a good to be passively bought (almost never worth it). You click "-" sign to pick a good for sales (up to 8 goods when you upgrade your Warehouse to last level).
user posted image

After you click the "-" you will be asked to pick particular good and later a slider will show up allowing you to set how many of each good you want to keep in your Warehouse. On the image I set amount to 20 which means my Warehouse will only sell goods if there are more than 20 and sell only those who are surplus.

In short if I have 34 Rope and have 20 set to be kept, my Warehouse will sell only extra 14 of it. It's very handy to prevent NPC ships from emptying your stockpiles of food and building materials. The number in red under goods picture shows how many of goods are to be sold, for example for Tools here I have surplus of 90 to be traded.

The pile of gold icon above the slider once clicked opens another slider that allows you to manipulate selling (or buying) price of that particular good. Average prices are find very well balanced so I usually don't temper with them. You may want to consider setting prices of goods you really have tons of (Wood, Stone?) to lower values so NPC buy more of them and increase prices of goods you don't have many of to get better bargain on them.

The top of the screen here shows last deals, it's worth checking out time to time to see what sells best and what doesn't sell at all. Should give hint how to set prices.

This way you can control how much to sell and at the same time keep your economy flowing and not dying

Oh it has good layout plans to show too

You have to get your town to have citizens first, which will then grant you the ability to build Weaver's Hut. For your Weaver's Hut to produce Linen, you will need to have hemp, which can be obtained from building hemp farms.

-Click on a house, check if all their needs is in green.

- If not, make it becomes (ie if they want clothes or cider, build appropriate buildings to produce it etc.)

- Once all green, pull back taxes (the slider with dark green, green, orange, red colour when clicking on one house) to the dark green.

- Make sure you have some building materials (Tools and wood for Citizen if I remember well) in your warehouse.

- Enjoy smile.gif

Just be careful because if you have lots of houses it can suck up your tools/wood like crazy, pull taxes back up to stop the evolution.
