Yar, that's a good serie of game.

I played the very first one that came (Anno 1606 or something) a long time ago and it was pretty good.
I also played the previous one (1704) but I found it bland since it has no campain (sandbox usually amuse me the first 1-2 times then its stale)

I considered buying that one but I am kinda full on new games at the moment, might wait for it to go budget or some steam special offer.

Feel like the settlers series, but not exactly the same. Nice game btw. Im also new to this anno game.

I saw the logo BlueBytes on one of the trailers.

If I remember well BlueBytes is the ones that created the Settles Series... so yar, good guess tongue.gif

The mechanisms are pretty similar anyway, especially when it comes to the production chains

^ yea im still searching if there is a possibility for increasing the tax rate but i think there is none
*
Click a house for one population class (peasant, citizen, noble etc.), you can move the sliders right or left.

Dark Green: people will pay the less taxes but will move inside the house to fill it it and upgrade their buildings to the next class if allowed to
Light Green: pay a bit more taxe, will fill the house in, won't upgrade houses to next level
Orange: more tax, won't move in, won't move out, won't upgrade house
Red: more tax, will with time move out of the house and/or rebel.

Taxes is actually the purpose to having population in the first place smile.gif

Basically put it in Light Green to make sure the houses get filled up, once they are filled up and you do not want to upgrade to next houses (or can't) then put it in Orange, more money, no drawbacks
Once you want to upgrade your houses, put it back to Dark Green.

You can specify this for each population class

ok... how do it get them to become citizen!!!?? i dun its so hard this game!! i build till i have 1k+ population but 0 citizen..

-Click on a house, check if all their needs is in green.

- If not, make it becomes (ie if they want clothes or cider, build appropriate buildings to produce it etc.)

- Once all green, pull back taxes (the slider with dark green, green, orange, red colour when clicking on one house) to the dark green.

- Make sure you have some building materials (Tools and wood for Citizen if I remember well) in your warehouse.

- Enjoy smile.gif

Just be careful because if you have lots of houses it can suck up your tools/wood like crazy, pull taxes back up to stop the evolution.
