there's a fix for it, force disable dx10 mode on some configuration files.

Anyway, here are the instructions. Take note this disables DX10, so if you're used to shiny & pretty gfx (like me), tough luck.

1. Open c:\users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Ubisoft\Anno1404\Config\Engine.ini
2. Change "<DirectXVersion>0</DirectXVersion>" to "<DirectXVersion>9</DirectXVersion>" (without the quotes)

Make sure to make a backup of Engine.ini first just in case.

Btw, can some sifu guide me on the proper building of production plant like Hemp and Cider? I realized some ppl can actually place the 4 hemp farm is a very structure manner but I thought we don't have control on the location... right? What I mean is usually after building the hemp I'll just click the "water" symbol and automatically it will place the 4 hemp farm based on the space available. Plz help!

can put the farm manually. Theres a small fence icon on the top right when u select the harm plantation. Try it out. Peace

now playing at 1920x1200 reso, 80% high settings, and the game runs smoothly.
