ya..kinda weird..so the battery dont charge till full?or only half?

Happens to me
My iPhone 2g charged to 100%

And then I use it normally no gaming no wifi close all push ..etc..

15 min of usage on text messaging only consume 15% of battery and standby mode also consume up to 20% in 1 night.

What can i Do now ?
FW is 3.0.1(7A400)
Modem Firmware is 04.05.04_G

jus to report in. my iphone can last me quite awhile more thn a day. so as long i dont play games all the time. occasionally thn it would be good..

i surf, i fb tweet, turn pull emails on hourly basis, but push i hv it on for ebuddy and msnbc and cnbc.. still my phone last pretty long.. tat including allot of messages and phone calls..

maybe its some other programs tats sucking yr battery?

I'm not sure what apps sucking up the batt...perhaps WhatApps?

my iphone 2g also having the same prob as u, fully charged 100% n standby, not even half day drained finish the battery, using firmware 2.1, tried to upgrade it to latest firmware n even downgrade it, but the problem stil exist btw, its a US set, unlocked it at msia.

I have an iPhone 2G with me, and my iPhone cant seem to charge more than 30% using a USB Charger. I dont have the wall charger because I lost it. The iPhone was working normally a day before, when I cant find a spot to charge my phone so I left it until the phone battery dries flat. The next morning I tried hooking up to a computer, and it wont charge. I was stuck on the red battery screen for a full day and its still cant charge enough to boot the phone. All of a sudden it charge and boot up the phone somehow, now when plugged into the charger it will sometime go from 23% back to 18% then went up again to 22% and so forth but definitely wont reach more than 30%. The battery drain in some cases can drain 1% in 5 seconds!

I've already updated my phone from previous 3.1.2 to newer 3.1.3, did a restore and everything. It doesnt work.

I need to know if anybody faces the same problem, it is the battery's problem ( I need to replace ) or most of the time is the charger itself? I'd really appreciate if someone can help me out

It might due to motherboard or battery. Bring your phone to hardware technician to do diagnostic on the phone.

your ip4 battery can stand for how long

1 day still left 40%, with a bit game, sms, call.

is tat normal . coz my 1day use on games call sms wifi .52% left

That's not an easy question to answer, it's just been two days. I unplugged it at 100% full charge this morning, about 20-30 pictures taken today, heavy wifi use, gps, and now it's two in the morning, was at 40% at late night today.

u can't really compare yr battery life. some ppls definition of 'call, sms, wifi, game' would differ from one person to another..

i would say average use of iphone 4 will give one and half day of battery life at least..

Isn't Iphone4 should have better battery life? the battery size is half the iphone 4, battery issue still persist?

I don't know. I've seen some websites that claimed like 38 hours (??) of heavy use.. but so far from my tests, it doesn't seem like so

1% battery drop after 5 mins of Wifi downloading of Apps from itunes store

I have also read some websites that offer battery usage times similar to mine... so, I am just curious about what you all's usage so far has reflected.

You do know WiFi sucks up alot of battery rite? this is not only on Iphone but also on Laptops

i'm buying i4 from yellowman and i have problems with the battery consumption as well.

last9 i fully charged it and enable the 3G reception, this morning when i check on the battery life after making few calls ( total duration is less than 15 minutes talk time ), the battery left with 80% only, is it normal?

Sigh, I know, you misunderstand my query.. also this is not my first Iphone/device with wifi etc etc etc either.. as I said I am just CHECKING how is everybody's battery life, because there are reported cases of units with faulty batteries. (Please do google it out and check it out).

I just want to know if my battery life is normal.

I was using 3Gs previously. Just got the IP4 over the weekend. I felt the battery life is not that great as advertised. May be slightly better. Need to use it a bit more to be more objective.
