Yes! It happened to me too! I have properly disabled all the 'pushes' for the email accounts I have on iPhone and also set the fetch method to manual. My battery life is consistent to any iPhone that has disabled 'push email'. However, once in awhile it'll refresh my email accounts and I get a notification. Thats weird.

Same thing happening to me also. I disabled everything, push notification, manually fetch data and even turn all my mail accounts to inactive mode. Even with that, I can still see the mobilemail running using memory status application. Anyone has explanation on this? My battery can only last for about a day with about 4 to 5 hours of usage.

I need your help..I just bought iphone and it was working...In midst of charging it, i try to on it but only show white screen...can anyone help me..:|

arsenal,

samething happen to me. posted question here but no solution yet.

white screen only happen when u resume from sleep mode by pressing the Home button. If u press the sleep/wake button (top right of phone), no such problem. so if u hung at the white screen, just press the sleep/wake button to off and on again. no big deal.

thought it was wallpaper problem. tried changing other wallpaper, same problem.

My colleague whose using ip2G say it's common issue. but i dont see it common in this forum... rclxub.gif

ermm...it's depends on how u setting and restore ur phone......if u want to update...i think it will be the same result as 3.0 or worse...so...u can google around iphone lyn thread to search within update FW...ihave done mine...and it's can last until 6 - 8 hours of usage time and 2days standby time

Personal experience:

1. Battery drains super fast (less than 8 hours standby)

2. People couldn't get thru.

3. Iphone super hot.

All the problem i have above, is after jailbreak my i3g and with lots of application.
I took out my sim and leave it there for a day.
The battery are normal, but when i put my sim card back on, the battery drain like water again.
It might be the network setting, i don't know....

My solution is, restore my i3g as new without jailbreak and only with itunes application.
After i restore as new, all the battery problem solved.
i do understand jailbreak helps and hope the 3.1 Firmware will solve the battery problem.

Hope it will help.

Hmmm.

I did not jailbreak my phone. I use it for a LOT of sales calls, in one day roughly 5 - 6 hours usage and maybe once in a while 3G is turned on to use the Maps feature to find my way around a new area.

So far, my phone needs a recharge every 2nd day. By the 2nd day, it's hovering about 9% - 11% thereabouts.

I have turned off location service, 3g, emails etc. I only turn them on when required. smile.gif

wow.. I thought that's really good battery life? 2 days with total of 10-12 hours talk time.. That's really quite good.. I dun think I ever have usage of even 7 hours each charge..

Hmm.. Did you unplug immediately after full charging ur phone?
Actually the battery percentage on the iPhone is not that accurate in truth...
it's not necessary full eventhough the percentage says so, so what I always do is continue charging for a while more even when it has reached 100%..
