When I had my Nokia N8, the apss that killed the battery was Whatsapp. I had to uninstall the app as it was connecting to 3G and trying to download data ALL the time.

Maybe it's the culprit as well for the iPhone 4?

how about the difference between leave the whatsapp run at the background with leaving the notifications for whatsapp "on"..which one make the battery drain more faster??

Today also i am facing this usage time = standby time problem. What is causing this?

Try this solution

- close ALL running apps

- turn notifications OFF

- turn PUSH mail OFF

- set FETCH mail to MANUALLY

- signout from APPS STORE (Settings -> Store -> apple id -> signout)


THEN;

- turn off WiFi.

- turn on everything on cellular data (3G, Cellular Data, Data Roaming)

- Wait until iPhone gets 3G signal, after it wait ~5mins

- Turn off 3G (DO NOT connect to any Wi-Fi networks before this is done), DO NOT turn off cellular data and data roaming.

- Turn on Wi-Fi. Connect to Wi-Fi if available.

- put phone into standby mode. check usage/standby after 5 minutes

you can simulate it by:

turn on wifi ---> turn 3g & data off ---. hard reset ----> charge iphone to full -----> tadaa... standby = usage

help help abit.

a week+, my 3gs tend to shut down itself. at first i tot i drain out d battery..but when i "on" it again, d battery life still got 20-30%.
but then after a minutes, it shut down again. when i force it to "on" again, it show d battery life close to zero.

i dont un is tat y d warning of 20% or 10% battery left is no longer appear on d screen b4 it shut down itself.

i'm under digi, so should i send it to digi center or Apple center? i got lotsa personal & banking data inside..so tat y till now i still dragging to send it for repair.

Please advise. TQTQ so much in advance!!

currently i got one iphon4 IOS 4.3 , the battery drain quite fast ! fews minute minus 1%. the standby time and usage time is same. omg. anyways to fix this ?

How old is your phone? Did you make any changes to the phone apps for the past week? You can also try restore to double confirm. If still same, suspected the batt is the problem.
If its still under warranty, send back for claim or you can get a replacement batt around rm60-65.

1yr + only.. hmm i just downloaded few games - smurf..glee tap.. errr dunno ler..after few days playing, d iphones shut down automatically .. even now i deleted all d games, problem also persist. very frustrated lar..
