any idea that how long does need for replace motherboard of F8vr at Highpoint?

I had send mine to highpoint on 28th Dec.......Until now, the parts is still shortage.....Call them up....they say there is no spare part and waiting Asus to send to them....

Anyone who has similar problem, mind to share how long does it need to replace a motherboard for Asus laptop at Highpoint....

Restore default setting at BIOS, then cant ON d.....but ExpressGate can go in...

Call them last few day, said the motherboard part shortage.....zzz

Get news from Asus (yesterday) and Highpoint (this morning)

Called Asus yesterday, they even dunno my case which already 1month stay at highpoint.....So they say will settle it and call me back. (until now, they didn't call me)

This morning, the Highpoint say my laptop's mobo will arrive early of Feb. Will able to collect before CNY......

I hope that too....
(if not.....my X-25M already 2 months stay in sealed box and will remain...)

my F8vr repaired and collect back on last friday, 12th Feb (since 28th Dec)

replace the hinge and motherboard (BIOS dead also need change?)

the recovery Disc cant be use. Even sealed and never use until that day. insert the disc and select recover, show a large 'ERROR"......

What can i do for that? use back the HDD and new SSD, the recovery disc also cant be use...large "ERROR" come out....

Now use Windows 7 with SSD......

Can i know

1. where to get the HDD bay to replace the internal optical rom? i saw got ppl replace his F8vr's optical rom to HDD with HDD bay....
If yes, where to get it?

2. Is the PCI-E Turbo memory has effect since i using intel X25-M 80G SSD.... is worth to use that turbo memory?

3. Anyone use PCI-E internal HSDPA card? Where to get it?

Anyone who change their laptop's HDD to SSD?

my F8vr changed X25-M 80G SSD. And i found that the temp at HDD side (Left rest palm there) is hot than the time with HDD....

the SSD is more hot than HDD?

the health status is 99%. the performance is awesome.

just the temp.....not hot like 7200rpm HDD, but seem hot than the 5400rpm...

Just to say that is not hot like the link above, but i sure is around 40c

tomolo will open it up and check.....

the Prolink PEM330 is killing me now.....price is attractive but i cant found another slot for it.....
