Noroi isn't really that scary , creepy yes . And as always the climax is at the end .

BTW , how about Pulse , or Kairo . Another japanese movie , the trailer doesn't looks scary though .

Gotta have a look on Black Swan though .

I watched Black Swan last night and would classify it under the same genre as the Repulsions, Rosemary's Babys, The Machinists and Requiem for A Dreams- psychological horror. Parts of it are terrifying not because we're scared for ourselves, but because we're scared for the character on screen.

It's an amazing movie.

Oh stop watching shitty movies and watch a good one for once. biggrin.gif

It's not a scary movie la, it's just the kind that gets under your skin and makes you feel uneasy.

A few of my best horror movies.

The Langoliers : A mini tv series that make me scare when I was a little kid.
The Exorcist: Scare me too when I was a little kid.
Child Play : Only the first series of the movie that scares the shit out of me when I was a kid.
Tales From The Crypt: Scares me out when I was kid and I still like to watch it now.

Jaws: Scares me when I was a teenager. I was a little phobia of water at that time. LOL
Piranha series: Scares me when I was a kid. I am talking about old series not the Piranha 3D.

The most scariest movie to me now is
Exorcism of Emily Rose and Exorcist: The Beginning.
The Descent ranked two for me.
Cujo and Pet Sematary ranked third for me

BTW, did anyone of you watched a movie about a few people get on a big cruiser when they found the cruiser in the middle of the cruiser and everyone on the cruiser is vanished. They fried the fish they found in the boat's fridge and cook then they started to die and the fish comes out from their stomach. There is a scene where the woman run into bathroom and keep vomiting. Help me find this movie title. thanks!!

I think 'Kairo' is quite scary.
The movie starts off promising but it is very slow toward the end.
A lot of metaphors that I don't quite get as well.
Not for every horror fans, i must say.

As for Jap horror, I recommend 'Infection' as well.
At least, I get it even though it is quite slow too.

My Soul To Take (2010)

I like Wes Craven

Ever since I saw A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) when it first came out, I've liked his work

And he then went and made this????!

Some would disagree and say that he didn't put any effort into the story (he both wrote and directed this), I have a funny feeling that he tried TOO hard.

The experience I have with this is EXACTLY the experience I had after watching Simon West's When a Stranger Calls (2006). After Con Air, I had such high hopes for When a Stranger Calls and it was a dud...

I think Wes Craven was so into making a "comeback" and he OVER THUNK the script, it is SO MESSY and CROWDED it is NOT funny

He didn't even BOTHER to explain anything at the end which only lead to the watcher going HUH???????

Max Thieriot has definitely grown since The Pacifier and NO ONE else makes an impression

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

Paranormal Activity 2 (2010)

Have you watched Paranormal Activity?

If you have, does the 2 meets expectation?

For me, it does!!

There is a constant creepiness about this movie

The story is pretty decent and actually adds to the first movie!

It encapsulates the first story and gives it a begin a middle and an end.

Some people had critise that it is basically the first movie, exceot with a bigger budet (15K vs 2.7 M)

I think is a an unfair comparison, and you should knock it until you have tred it

I don't think this is for eveyone. It is a pure, horror, things goes bump in the nite kind, and not, people flashing their naughty bits and get chopped up kind.

If you enjoy the first, you'll enjoy this

I like PA original ending, more impact to the audience, IMO.
Overall, both PA & PA2 are fine, but the endings are a bit silly.
I actually laughed at the ending of PA2.
