If you like that, how do you not like Dawn Of The Dead.
I like Return of the Living Dead better too.

Hmmmm.... lots of zombie lovers here!!?! smile.gif Dawn of the Dead is pretty good!! nod.gif

Zombies are good...
But haunted house is a better and creepier option for me, hehehe.
Unfortunately, there are not many good ones out there.
I suppose 'The Shining' is one of the best but it is more like a haunted hotel. biggrin.gif
Love 'Poltergeist' too.

wow i was addicted to poltergeist part 1 and part 2.

Part 3 was boring. And when i was watching part 3 at ending i saw it says in memory the lil girl name.

Found out she passed away before finishing part 3

I thought she died of cancer after finished filming... just like one of the actress were murdered after the first movie.
It was thought as a curse... creepy

Did you not like House on Haunted Hill?

What about The Other's with Nicole Kidman??
*
I have not seen the original 'House of Haunted Hill', but the remake is a bit of mess IMO.
Same goes with 'The Haunting'

Yes, 'The Others' is good.

Two excellent movies as well.

Since we are on modern take of zombies, might as well mention, Resident Evil 1, 2 & 3. Also I Am Legend.

Forgive me for being slow, what is L4D??
*
Left 4 Dead, it is a game.

Anyway, slow moving zombies are good at scaring me too, LOL!

Some serious horror sh!t to scare out the kids but in the 70s and 80's like IT (the clown), and forgot already what is the name of the movie which aboutsome creature from other planet that looks like balls rolling when they'r running and has sharp teeth and short hands and legs. And not to forget the Child's Play movies. They were all scare the shit out most of the kids back then. Don't quiet follow the current horror movie. But asian produced some good horror shit lately including Malaysia like Congkak and Jangan Pandang Belakan. Well, that is ghost movie btw, sorry.
*
'The Critters'
It scares the hell outta me when i was a kid.
But they look too adorable for me now, LOL!
The Blob, is from outer space too and it scares the hell out of me even now.

IT clown was okay.
Child Play was scary first time around, not anymore...

Even when her head turn 360 degrees and when she shot pea soup out off her mouth!! tongue.gif

They didn't remake The Exorcist per se

Exorcist: The Beginning (2004) Renny Harlin
Exorcist: Dominion (2005) Paul Schrader

Are Prequels

Paul Schrader was original hired by Warner Brothers to make the prequel. Half way into production, the big wigs of Warner's weren't happy with the direction the director was taking. They fired him and hired Renny Harlin to finished the movie. Once the new director took over, there were story and character changes.

So if you watched the movie, there are characters who seems important at the beginning of the movie, suddenly disappears in the middle??

But it is a beautifully shot movie, just not much substance.

The movie BOMDED in the box office (*Surprise Surprise*)

So, Warner NOT satisfied with the results, rehired the original director back to reshoot the movie according to his visions (or was that recut, cannot remember) and after doing so, reissued to the cinema Exorcist: Dominion (2005) Paul Schrader, which SURPRISE, SURPRISE also bomded at the box office.... *Sigh*

So in short, don't waste your time. I certainly did!!! sad.gif
*
I heard that the second sequel (Exorcist 3) is actually not bad.
I never watch the full film but that head cutting scene is brilliant.

Ohhhh! A remake of that is in production.
Have not watched the original because it seems like it sells sex in its trailer.

yeah...Masters Of Horror S1 was great!!
my fav; Jennifer...Cigarette Burns...Imprint...
*
IMO,
Imprint is an excellent twisted story.
Jennifer is getting better at subsequent viewing.
Pelts is one funny blood fest.
Deer Woman is funny as hell.
Incident On And Off A Mountain Road is a nice innovation from typical slasher films.
Cigarette Burns is creepy...just creepy only.

No.....

Please tell us more

Though I thought that The Cube was an English (as in England) production

I've got Eden Lake in DVD, but haven't gotten around to it

Also Haunte Tension sounds interesting!!

More news please!!

Or are you sadistic enough to keep us on a limb.... tongue.gif
*
Cube is a Canadian production, neither American nor English

Haunte Tension is good... just prepare yourself for the ugly truth in the end...it's so ugly that it could kill the movie, IMO

Event Horizon. Anyone?

I'm so ashamed to say that I have not watched 'Se7en' in its full length... Only watched bits and pieces...

I have not watched Hellraiser too, but I watched the sequel to the first one...
Not bad though it is quite silly.

Just watched Trick r Treat.
Not bad for a straight to dvd even though it is not scary or gory.
It is interesting for several stories being interwoven together.
Each one has its own twist in the end, some are predictable while others not.
7/10.

I'm a fan of Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness, not so much the first Evil Dead. Evil Dead II strikes the perfect balance between macabre and comedy.

re: Blair Witch. I would never dare watch this when I'm on a camping trip with foliage nearby. I've never seen Cannibal Holocaust, it sounds vile, and in general I tend to prefer movies which pass off gore in an entertaining and fun manner instead of truly wanting to scar you for life.
*
I love Evil Dead more than Evil Dead 2...LOL

Have you guys ever watched "Fear Itself" (2008)?
a "horror/suspense anthology television series" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear_Itself_(TV_series)

I've only watched till episode 8, coz i thought there's only 8 episode sweat.gif
Each episode, different story. Good storyline  i'd say  thumbup.gif

Love the opening song, "Lie Lie Lie" by System Of A Down front man Serj Tankian wub.gif
Nothing really.. Vampire just not my cup of tea  tongue.gif
*
If you like Fear Itself, you should watch Master Of Horror... more blood, more gore, more nudity, less tame...

For those Zombie fans

Try to watch this

1) Lucio Fulci's Zombi (1979)
2) Lucio Fulci's City of the Living Dead (1980)
3) Demons (1985) & Demons 2 (1986)
4) FleshEater (1988)

Love zombie movies....and games. Last but not least a fan of Rob Zombie.  brows.gif

For those Italian horror fans, Suspiria is a must watch.
As for Lucio Fulci's films, I've only seen The Beyond
It is a silly horror film that worth a watch.

anyone mentioned IT yet? damn scaryshit assclown movie of all time OF ALL TIME!!!

A few scenes in IT is effectively scary, but overall it is alright.
Still no horror fan should miss it.

QUOTE(nazmanson @ Oct 13 2009, 11:31 PM)
Have you finished watching Suspiria don't forget to watch 1980's Inferno and the 2007 The Mother of Tears. As Suspiria (1977) is the first of the trilogy of The Three Mothers films by Italian horror master Dario Argento.  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Inferno is not as good as Suspiria.
It is a bit draggy in the middle.
But the underwater scene is beautifully shot.
Have not yet watch Mother of Tears though.

Not bad as an Asian horror remake.
Keep me at the edge of my seat in the last 15 minutes.
