Watched Carrier several days back and it was pretty good. Although it was kinda predictable, still worth a watch.

Just because REC's not in English doesn't mean it sucks. REC is the original and Quarantine remake. Quarantine's scares paled with REC although it is still frightening, the camera feels too "scripted" and REC jumps at your more in certain scenes. Plus the final monster in REC is much scarier than the lame bugger in Quarantine.

BTW Rec 2 came out already, can watch the trailer on YouTube.

i second that. and the news reporter is way hotter on [REC]. in Quarantine they cast the girl who played the lead in Exorcism of Emily Rose. i dunno her face gave me goosebumps. probably after watching that show

I managed to catch a little of it on TV several years back and it's pretty good. Yeah it's a twisted Snow White fairytale... it doesn't give you the goosebumps but rather, a little thrill ride.

Slither is in the same vein as the Evil Dead series and Dead Alive--schlock-horror. Now that you mentioned it, I want to watch it again. I remember I had quite a wicked time watching it last time.

Anyway, I saw Triangle with a friend yesterday, and I think it's right to classify it under psychological horror. It's partly The Shining or Event Horizon on a cruise liner, but it's also a lot more than that. I wont mention anymore, and if you want the movie to pack a wallop you shouldnt go digging for more either. All you need to know is that it's about a bunch of people who go sailing, their boat capsizes after a freak storm, they board a cruise liner which was passing by, only to find that the ship harbours a whole different kind of terror. Sounds typical yeaah? Wrong!

There is at least one image in the movie that will make you scream "OHH GODAMNN SHIT HELL!". Or at least make you churn in your stomach. Guaranteed.

I watched it at my friend's house. He downloaded it. It's a bluray rip, but the one he got was not HD. Quality was still good as its x264-encoded. I didn't plan to watch it but he just left it on and we watched it without knowing what to expect. What a pleasant surprise.

I'm looking forward to The House of the Devil next. That sounds good.

U know what Mr Quickfire, I gonna surprise u and COMPLETELY agree with you about The Triangle!

It is an Aussie movie, posing as an American movie (filmed in Brisbane, but in the movie, they claim they are in Miami!!)

I started this movie, not knowing what to expect, and boy was the movie good. I actually calling this a Groundhogs Day meets The Shining (Kubrick style)

It's really good. People who like horror should give this a try

Now go watch The House of the Devil. That for me is the best horror movie of 2009, but I'm guessing many people wont like it. It's a real slowburner.

Have it, haven't got around to it...

"Tonight. Tonight.
It all began tonight.
I saw you and the world went away." - West Side Story (1961) "Tonight" music by Leonard Bernstein; lyrics by Stephen Sondheim

[translation for the above]

I'll watch it tonite!! tongue.gif

No no.

It is a new hong kong movie named Womb Ghosts.

It's about ghosts of aborted babies I think.

There is a website link: www.wombghosts.com.

I am still awaiting for the movie to come out from *ahem* cause it seems like the cinema is not viewing this movie.
