i was damn agreed with the author..

1) no cost.. lower wage
2) good for a backup striker (rooney can get his position back too). And i dont think he will say too much if he is to sit at the bench most of the time..
3) market price is so high at the moment, so it will buy some time to SAF top re-assess the youngster and scouting for another great footballer
4) a great mentor for kiko and welbeck in training/reserve games
5) injury prone because he was rushed to the game where NU always want him to save the day. But here in utd, he can take his time to get fully well before rushing to the game as Berba-Rooney is the main partner now..
6) at the end of the day, if we dun like him/no contribution, just kick him.. it doesn't cost us 30-40m to waste.. thumbup.gif

wat say u?

I must say, with Tevez and Ronaldo gone... we have reduce problem player (pubs, girls, party, moaning...)

Owen is very much a team player and focus on Football. Valencia picked United ahead of Real Madrid, loyalty is there.

I believe we have a squad fully focus on football and not on media spotlight. If Nani and Tosic able to step up and become the young version of Giggs, we have a very balance attacking football team.

Next season, we will see the power of Berba and Roon!!

flop or not flop, injury prone or not, no one can tell, or predict
besides an instant usable player, he's also an instant ready striker tutors for our young Kiko and Welbeck, so its also an indirect long term investment from SAF

He does tend to have a gambling side to him and a keen interest in horse racing. I'm sure ( well more hopeful actually) that it doesn't get in the way of his football. He is afterall desperate to return to the England lineup so here's hoping that it will only spur him on to perform better.

Next season people will focus more to the whole squad.. Unlike last season where people focus mainly on CR7.. Just like when Henry left Arsenal..

I remember Fabregas saying it's our time to shine biggrin.gif

Micheal owen with no injury problem is always the best option for all teams.
Buy as subtitutes also good mah. free de~
But last season din feel berbatov have prove himself as 32mil player.
his performance is totally inconsistant. sumtimes good sumtimes dunno wat he is doing on the pitch.
hope he will shine next season.

United sign Charlton youngster

United have made another summer signing - 15-year-old defender Sean McGinty from Charlton Athletic.

QUOTE
The promising centre-half had been offered scholarship terms by the London club but with the Reds having tracked him for some time, McGinty has opted to switch to Old Trafford.

Although the Republic of Ireland U17 international is not contracted to the Addicks, the two clubs have agreed an undisclosed compensation package, which includes additional fees depending on the player’s progress at United.

Charlton chairman Richard Murray said: “To have a club like Manchester United tracking your youth players clearly shows the quality that our academy is currently producing.

“Of course, nothing would have made us happier than Sean coming through the ranks and representing our first team, and our coaches had high hopes for him. We did our utmost to persuade him to stay, but joining such a big Premier League club is obviously an attractive prospect, and Sean and his family made it clear that they wanted to move north to United.”

Murray added: “Manchester United have behaved entirely honourably throughout the process, and I’d like to thank them for that.”

Although only 15, McGinty represented both Charlton’s U18 side and reserves last season.
