yeah..if u ok with red color and no reverse sensor, no electric mirror, airbag then go for it..really worth.

Yea. But my parents don't like solid colour which was hard to maintain. Plus, they only had manual option which my parents want auto transmission instead of manual.

1.6 not using disk rear brakes.u are not recommended as for the weight and power ratio, u dun need disk.disk might make things worse.

toucan

but for rear wheel its quite adequate...as front wheel is already equipped with disk brake

QUOTE
There are two reasons. First, drum brakes are cheaper than disc. Second, a slowing car puts most of the wear and tear on the front brakes, so the wear and tear on the back is nominal. This means the drum brakes do not heat up as much and last plenty long enough to be used.

yeah, doesnt mean that disc brake works better than drum with its grip, then the safety of the driver is more secure.it may make things worse.unless proton came out with a full disc BLM, if not, better stay with stock design. it happen to be there with its reason.

the only reason i saw is COST, and disc will most probably work better under high temperature, when the car has the power to go fast, it must have the ability to stop fast also..
the brakes on the 1.6saga(and probably the 1.3saga) doesnt seems to bite enough, not sure if because it is still new or what... the feel of braking is very stiff, and not very controlable,as in how much brake u can apply gradually till it is fully biting on the disc. All other cars at home seems to be able to control properly, the only cars that has the same feel is the ex-iswara which was sold many years ago, the car will skid easily during braking cause when u apply a bit of brake, it doesnt seems to stop, apply more and u'll get wheel locked..

its because the brake fluid pipe is not solid enough.other carmakes usualy use metal pipe for the brake fluid distributed to the wheels, but our car is juz silicon..silicon will get pumped up and down, hence the pressure is not standard.during hot days, it will tend to "mengembang" more.

Is it true that our stock brake pads will create some screeching sound when it's cold? Happen alot of times when car is cooled down. Brake a little got screeching sound, then later after drive for some time the sound gone already. Thought my brake pad worn out so fast. Tak sampai 3000KM traveled.

yeap....when the pads are cold, it tend to create some noise..unless u want pure quiet pads go for cermic brake pads which is for comfort and silent braking....
