Wow...that was fast. Already V8.

Yea..I wanted to install the auto-door lock thing...but I got asked one shop. RM200! Based on you guys car expert,
RM 100++ cut throat already, then what about RM200? That's killing a person huh? Haha...I haven't install it yet. I still a bit worry about the warranty will void as the person said they will be cutting some wires. They held no liability for what will going to happen to my car after installation. So...now seeking for advice. Should I do it or not? The shop I ased is TintShop Subang.

I almost going to give up repairing my car. I will ask them to change whole engine. Don;t know what happened to my whole engine system that causes it to leak again.

i think there's some other pipes linked to it that leaks
maybe u should find 1 day and wait and see where it drops from}
follow the dropping water....u should find it

I am not a mechanic so..I leave it all the job to the people servicing. If still persists, I don't care already la.

the proton tint is not that effective and their workmanship is bad...that's why have bubble...if the installer is very experience...this is impossible to happen
got cert also no use
if u can...just go to some experienced tint shop to redo to avoid future mess...no need to be very famous brand
if not wrong...the SA didn't check the car for u before give u
and i think he got low grade car for u....means many problem one
usually proton export to other country one is high quality..no problem one

Added on June 30, 2009, 9:37 pm
some of those mechanic dn't know how to do job one...they just simply check and say no problem
so u have to put abit effort into it
other brand of car also will have same problem one...like toyota and honda
only their SC is more helpful and more experienced....but they pay alot for servicing, not like us
like me...alot of problem and sound in my sound is already solved by myself....DIY is fun..
*
The thing is DIY stuff regarding about pipes and engines...I really don't dare to touch any of these parts. If interior rattling sound that I can la. Plus if let say I did something wrong to my engine...later warranty voided. See how la.

i'm gonna get my car soon is there any checklist (Other than SA checklist) to look out for? like sounds, steering, etc??
*
Yes there is a checklist. But I recommend you to check for any paint scratch as my car had a rusted paint scratch when I receive it on the 1st day and I insisted on the SA to repaint for me but he refuses. You can check according to the checklist. And plus, check for any power steering fluid got reduce or not. This happened to my one.

How to check for the power steering fluid? means if it is fall below minimum level then got leakage issue?
Wow just found today got huge discount RM1K + free tinted RM150 voucher. Very great deal indeed  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
If below maximum level, better ask them to add more power steering fluid. I noticed this when I using the car for more than 1 week. It reduces until middle level between maximum line and minimum line. Then following week almost to minimum level. Just check whether the fluid is just right maximum level la.

this morning while its cold, my brakes produce loud 'zzzztttt' sound while moving even when im not depressing the brake pedal...should be coming from my rear right or front right...
after engine has warmed up, the sound went away...
*
That sound is like disc brake screeching right? But it only occurs during cold mornings. Now my one is getting louder every morning. Your car is auto or manual? My one is auto.

That's the same occurring to mine car also. I didn't even press the brake when it moves slowly it got that kind of screeching sound. After temperature is rise to 2 bars or more..the sound no more ad. ._.""

to some brake pads, during cold/morning...when u press the brake got sound....but once warm up its ok....maybe i think its normal...try changing to bosch power plus......cold not so noisy...
*
I don't think its the brake pads. it's because my mileage is only 1600km++ and roughly 4 months old. I don't think it worn out so fast. Plus, when car is moving without pressing the brake it will also produce that screeching sound.

yeah, mine also. as i reverse the car out from my house, i hear "zzzttt" or jeet .... jeet  sound. looks like the brake pedal. but i hv sent my car for 2 services, the sc foreman said "no more sound la". then again, the sound is till bloody there the next morning !!! i am too tired to bring my car ack there for the sound alone.  now, my steering also got "ZWEET ZWEET" sound everytime i turn the steering.

i lost for words la.
*
We can't show them the sound if our cars are warmed even with 2 bars in temperature gauge. Must be super cold especially during cold mornings. Except u left your car over night la. I don't think it's the brake pads problem. I didn't even press the brake..when it moves slowly it will also produce that screeching sound. =.=

Errmmm.... dunno whether this question had been asked before. Does our reverse sensor(for M-Line) sometimes detects and sometimes don't? It happened to me twice. When I reverse until its almost hitting to an object, the sound won't beep(no sound at all) until it almost touches(just 1 cm to be hitted) the object then only a long beep sound occurs. Sometimes, this gave us a wrong estimation on whether an object is approaching like car or children running. That's why I don't really rely on this car's reverse sensors. Got any after market reverse sensors that is good? Feel like want to throw away the factory fitted one. The sound is not loud enough.

I think maybe my reverse sensor's wiring is loose like MR_alien said. Will definitely changed a better reverse sensors as the factory fitted one the sound too soft and not so accurate. Thanks for all the comments. Hope I can get some feedback on what type of brands of reverse sensors that is good. =)

Hi. Did anyone modified their steering wheel before? If let say I change my whole steering wheel to Momo steering type it would sure void the warranty of the whole car or the steering wheel part only? It's because everytime during emergency, I can't seem to press the horn. 9 out of 10 times I can't seem to activate the horn no matter how hard I press at the Horn logo side. Is it advisable to change? Btw, my one is with air bag one.

i saw an M-line change to MOMO, sacrifice the airbag lor.
*
Thinking of doing it...but as like you said sacrifice the air-bag. Dunno whether should I opt for the accessories provided by Perodua. They selling Momo Steering with SRS Air-Bag in it. Don't know whether it is suitable for our air-bag computer system. Must ask opinion and suggestion before doing it.

Yaya...that's why. I remembered reading the news said starting next month most of the petrol stations will have RON 95. Then, RON 97 will be charged RM2.10 per litre.

thats true, and together with persona gearbox, and brakes.
*
That sounds good. Acceleration good, brakes are good, plus gearbox are all from Persona. Too bad don't have other colour option and air-bag option. Red colour reminds me of driving a taxi. Haha. =D
