I got my 1.6 2 weeks ago. So far so good. It's manufactured in 2008. Average FC currently is 11-12 km/l

Sorry I don't work for Proton so don't know if they will make new batch in 2009. But i suspect if response is good they might. Unfortunately no discount.. But the sales assistant threw in reverse sensor, window visor n wheel cover for free.

this morning went puchong sc and they will order new IAFM for me...woohoo...
but bad thing is need to go back next week...zzz

according to the sales agent, the 1.6 is 2008 car and limited stock, so is up to the buyer to decide worth it or not.

but what i think is 39k is really a good buy for 1.6 engine, the other can modify later lo...

err.. btw, bazli which car dealer u bought from?
just to confirm, does the 1.6 version got center locking, alarm, power window (front) and power steering?

For the IAFM problem, shud we wait for it to appear or change straight away?
So far I've change the power window switch.
Now noticing the left rear brake is much hotter than the right, more smoke coming out from left rear compared to right rear when spray with water after driving for 40 minutes. Is this a problem as well?
Btw, got the car in June 2008, which batch is it?

1st impression when i drive my mom's saga 1.6, the acceleration is VERY fast, and it's quite fun to drive, makes u wanna step deeper on the pedal, very torquey feel.. the gearbox feels good too, feels more solid than the 1.3 version "rubbery" feel when u are changing gears.. about others, same as 1.3 B-line saga..

I heard 1.6 is using persona engine?

my left side window seem like got sound..at first thought is the door, then i lower down the power window a bit, no more sound...then i use my hand to move it left right can feel the glass got sound...any way to solve this thru diy?

That sounds good. Acceleration good, brakes are good, plus gearbox are all from Persona. Too bad don't have other colour option and air-bag option. Red colour reminds me of driving a taxi. Haha. =D

yeah..if u ok with red color and no reverse sensor, no electric mirror, airbag then go for it..really worth.
