No1 can gives u definite answer bro, even some of us who prebooked still yet to get our hands on the phone, maybe u can get middle of this month

yea.. i went there yesterday nite.. they told me all 32GB blacks finished in the morning.. then i ask how come.. they say.. most ppl came early without adhering to their pick-up times..so. .it created a mess..

They have no idea when will the i3gs restock, all we have is to wait for the restock.
If u book now, maybe u will get it middle or end of this month.
My friend just called to book, they said will have to wait end of this month.
Even me also not recieve my i3gs yet.

i just talked to a guy from switch...he said just got mail from maxis saying the 3gs will only be offered contract..no prepaid packages..wtf?

No prepaid packages, not even outright purchase for foreigners.
You probably have to wait a few months before the outright purchase units will be issued, just like the iPhone 3G before it.
Now if you want an iPhone 3Gs you have to pre-book it. For 16GB its estimated to arrive within 2-3 weeks, for 32GB its estimated to arrive after 1st September.

that means those who already got prepaid like youth club are really lucky...

guess have to wait till maxis opens up prepaid again...hopefully they don't increase the RRP.....%$#$%# you maxis!

If you were one of those who pre-booked from maxis before it launched then you do not need to sign for a plan. If you bought it after the launch then congratulations. I don't know how u did it LOL

From my experience they didn't raise the RRP for the 3G last time, so you should be safe haha. Maxis personnel told me to wait at least a few months until you get to purchase via prepaid. They say it has something to do with dwindling stock but i don't really buy that.

From what I know, buyers will be forced to sign the plan even if you pre-book. Thats what happened to a few customers I've seen.

Picked up my 32Gb iPhone 3GS (White) at Sunway Pyramid Maxis Centre.
Arrived at 9:40am; there were a few people waiting already. Shutter came up at 10:00am sharp. Got the first number though (3000). Took about 45 - 50 minutes from start to finish.

Brought my screen protector and asked the Maxis guy to help me fix it on, after 15 minutes.. he messed it up. But it was a good thing that he offered to reimburse the cost of the screen protector against my next month's Maxis bill.

So far so good, no hairline cracks anywhere

P/s: Think there weren't too many ppl picking theirs up /or stock cos I only saw in the list 4x 32Gb (White) and 0x 32Gb (Black)

Went to Mines for breakfast this morning and decided to drop by Switch. So surprised to see that they had 2 x 16GB White 3GS there that weren't reserved to anyone. Rushed over to Maxis Centre to buy Hotlink and back to Switch for the 3GS.
Now have to try and cancel my booking with Machines.

I went to Maxis center (Bayan Baru, Penang) on Sat 9AM, that guy check my name is on the list but the stock will arrive in the afternoon and ask me to wait his call. Later he call me about 3PM, he said my 32G black arrive already but cannot give to me yet as the unit not in system yet
He ask me to go on Monday (that Maxis center Sunday not working( again) ).
Hope I can get it tomorrow (I pre-book on 18 and pay eposit on 20).

ughh just happen to came back from maxis gurney in penang, booked 1 iphone 3gs and seems to be able to reach to penang around 2-3 weeks = =....damn...and funny thing is, i go to switch in gurney, i wanna buy without contract...the staff tell me that i am not able to buy without contract as is already pass 31 july

after 1 aug i must buy with contract only can....i was like? lolwtfbbq? i went to maxis and ask....seems to be false lol...and terus book from maxis easier
