if they really facing short on stock, then didnt they stop the booking... it did mention while stock last

if they really cant get enough of stock, and keep letting ppl book their iPhone, they seriously going to have a lot of trouble now...

Please read the forum thoroughly before asking. Inside have mention that the booking is available until 30/7. But starting from 25/7-30/7 it will be the 2nd batch booking already. Thanks for cooperating.

Nobody knows when will 4g iphone comes out. Many is just expecting. We never know what will iphone 4th generation looks like until Apple lauch 4th gen iPhone. Please be patience until next year. Because normally Apple lauch new products every year. No matter what you see or heard,those are rumours. Still remember how people predicted iPhone 3rd gen looks like. But who knows it lauch just like the 2nd gen shape. But with better hardware.

Yup, Cheers... Just use itune for all your iphone backup and restore.

Yeah lo. Just RM 500 difference but you got a major difference in feelings and usage. Why not reconsider about it.

I booking early 17july at Epicentre, and the day i ask comfirm i can get my iphone at 31st july, all say comfirm so i make a booking fee, but today i call up ask friday what time i come to collect my iphone 3gs also can right, the staff told me for who booking only can get on 2nd aug. So funny !

Maxis called me on Moday and said that I can collect the phone this friday.Well, I think they called me because I emailed them and said that I want to change the time of collection to Morning and they allowed it. I hope queue at Machine KLCC is not long.. hopefully

10 Hours?! That's ridiculously long for any of todays electronic devices. I still prefer the old fashion method - play with your phone until it drains all power and then charge it.

Yes indeed some places u can book it for free.
But in my opinion i don think free is good though.
You pay the deposit, u confirmed the order, they'll order the phone for u.
You don pay any deposit, its not necessary that they would order for u, most probably only ordering few units as their own stock and when its here they'll let u know the stock is available. << Its like u get it as a walk in customer.
Make sense though since they do not want to promise you when would the stock arrive. Neither Maxis nor Apple could confirm when will the next shipment would be. Maybe they do not wan any more complaints about the delay as there are still ppl who booked did not get their unit due the the limitation of stocks available in malaysia.
Just my 2 cents.
I've got many different stories from many different places/maxis centres. None of them can confirm when will the next batch of 3gs will be arriving but most probably by middle of the month or end of this month. Thats what i heard from them.
To those who wish to try their luck to get the 3gs through walk in purchase, i don think it is possible at the mean time unless u got lobang (which i wish i could have 1) to get it.
Last words, I regreted for not booking it 2 weeks back. Damn!

They mentioned "until stock lasts" is to cover their axx off from ppl blaming them saying that they give empty promises, say launch on 31st July but end up "stock-less".
Who knows? Maybe their staff ordered even earlier? Lol!

Yes, i did noticed that a few did get the 3gs via walk-in, which i think its kinda weird. Maybe that outlet did order some 3gs but nobody booked through those outlets thats y they sell to walk-in customers.

i still havn't got my 32g black..   they guy at Maxis Ampang Point said they will arrange the orders and call me by next week.. damn! I booked and paid on the 22 july and supposed to pick it up this morning..

It is very wired that they ask me to bring my ic together with any of the two below:  passport, driving license, payslip for pass to months to pick up the phone, am i registering insurance or credit card?!! Not that i want to cheat and can;t pay the money.. I ask why do they need it and they say maxis ask them to get it? I kept wondering why they need them. It is stated in the Maxis websites-- just bring your IC, and the confirmation email.

Is 3Gs stock already finish all in Maxis? Most of the Maxis center I visited today told me that I need to wait for 1 week to get the 3Gs. Is it mean that they do not have ready stock? Anyone know where can I find iphone 3Gs with ready stock in Penang?

By the way, I notice I only got 29.xGb.... Those who bought 32G also get 29GB? I wonder where the 2.xG goes where?

Okay, everyone (especially those from Penang).

I went to collect my phone late (about 10am) on Saturday and I expected a LONG queue and some sort of 1 and 1/2 hour kind of wait. But when I got to the Maxis centre in Northam (which is supposedly the main branch of all), I had only ONE customer ahead of me. Meaning I was the second in line when I got there. No issues, no hoo-haas. Maybe that day it rained hard or something *shrugs*. No doubt, I was very happy about it and somewhat lucky after reading some of the posts here *phew*.

But touchwood, as I have not tried the phone out much yet. Didn't have the time and wasn't too excited because I haven't got any protection to envelope the body yet.

Just went in to ttdi... ;( no more stocks available was told by the rep that i won't be able To pick up my prebooked unit till after 18th august...

dayam, I was so hyped up to wait till my pick up date.. Mane tahu... Need to wait for 2 more weeks...

So what's the point of having the prebooking an paying dem 200 for depo when they can't even secure our units?!

I also come back disappointed from TTDI maxis. No stock at all. Have to wait until after 18 Aug. This is too much. How come some people can buy outright without booking but us that already booked cannot get?

That means they allocate stock based on location and not based on how many people booked. Each place might get 100 units and if only 50 people booked then they got extra stock.

This is bad stock management. I was given a 017 number to call to ask whether got stock or not. But nobody pickup that number.

I am particularly pissed because I called up maxis center and this girl told me TTDI have no stock problem. Can go collect. Went there, wasted my time.

That means I can only collect after the 14 days maxis promised to deliver. This is dishonor of contract.

This is the reason I think why it got out of stock. I think they sell to clients who buy outright with hotlink even if they didn't book. That is why TTDI is totally out of stock. Even worst than machines.

And they better not say I can't buy outright with hotlink cause I already switched my plan from value plus 50 to hotlink to cater for this i3gs. Darn.

Sigh, I am rather speechless now reading a few pages back that I think it's going to be a matter of fact that I will have to wait till the 18th only can get my phone. Worst of all, I'll be outstation for a week by then.

FYI guys, I am one of them who pre-book my phone at the early stage at Machines 1U. The collection date should be on the 31st of July, morning. Today would be Tuesday, after 4 days of patiently waiting, no news, no call, no message, no email, no nothing.

Call Machines? What's the point of constantly listening to wait till we call you? Darn. This is really being so unfair. Maxis totally screwed this up. Honest speaking, I am not excited on the phone at all now, at least not until I get it.

This would be my latest update on my current condition being one of Machines 1U, Maxis victim.
