elf, i want u to recommend what the good shampoo for controlling fleas, tick etc and skin disease for cat, previously i use ilium dermocil, but i think is just for skin, not fleas. another things, i want to ask how to apply Frontline spray correctly and do i need to put collar on the cat after spraying them? if they lick their fur, will any side effect? and which part of body that i can and cannot apply the spray?
(^__^)
for parasites on cats u can use malaseb shampoo which is for ringworm and determines. also will kill other parasite. but if you do not have ringworms... you can also use TROY medicated shampoo for fleas/tick/lice (^__^)
as for frontline.. spray is for immediate fleas/tick/lice killer. which means your cat bring this parasites already. but u just want protection, and your cat is free from all the above, you can use the frontline spot on.
most people have a hard time on spray type.. bcos cats hate that spray and watery thinggy. So this one is use for emergency (if you found fleas). and it kill very fast too. Spot on is kinda slow - its for protection.
so, its impossible you want to spray your cat all the time right... and bath most of the time after spray. imagine, you spray 2-3 times a week or every week ehehehe.. i think you end up having a cat that hate you eheheheh.
spraying is easy... ask 1 person to hold the cat. and another person spraying. must do this in fastest mode. Start from the neck area. don't put it on face. spray around neck. then spray abit on your hand, and wipe it on top of the ear, check and under lips. after that spray around the body especially the armpit area and tail part. all head/neck, armpit, and tail/private part is the favorite place for parasites to hide.
cat will not have serious issue if u spray when needed... but if too frequent im pretty sure will create problem. just like if u need panadol everyday u end up having problem... we only take panadol when needed right.
collar won't work perfectly... and some cat suffer from skin sensitive with cat collar.
