Regardless of which gen you buy, the price will drop whenever new stuff is released, if you don't want to lose much, then the only way out would be buying 2nd hand stuff lo if you can live with it, otherwise, keep ur money in the bank

Isn't what a debit card is for? It's something like a pre-paid credit card, similar to the Visa Debit by MBB (linked to the bank account, replaces the existing ATM BankCard)...

i still dont get why need to get iphone rather than ipod in multimedia portable device..
3g phone+ipod is much better than iphone in battery longlasting and usability.. n maybe lack in portability only..

how you expect to use your card if you have no money in that card?

I do rely on 3G phone + iPod, just so you know, but I was thinking of iPhone 3G + Maxis Unlimited + Tethering.

Anyway, now iPhone 3G so cheap - thought of getting it so I would have both a new phone and a new iPod.

wow the voice memos apps that the 3.0 update installs is really annoying, another thing I cannot delete cause not jail broken... =(

yea but my ipod quite full already. it's annoying, but not as annoying as stocks. i haven't even opened that. Why must Apple insist on not allowing us to delete them?

I usually move these, lol, "annoying apps", to the last page, so they won't annoy me, LOL.

Did some Googling and discovered these:

A blog write up on the NexG, assuming that it will work for online purchases, but not verified yet. Also a mention of a debit card by Public Bank. Anyone tried that method of payment?

OS 3.0 doesn't allow forceful closing of apps? Used to be able to do it by holding home button for a while.
