I wouldn't say that much.
If you say GF-1 got EVF - think again. Its a 600 ringgit 'optional' extra.
the Gn6 flash is useful - if you want to take close up photos with washed out colors. Maybe for fill-in flash, but that's about it.
The reports online says the Gf-1 only have up to ISO3200 - even then its noisier than the E-P1. And seeing its using the G1's not the GH1's sensor, there are also reports of pixel-banding in some of the pictures.
The design? Yes beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but then isnt the E-P1 a breath of fresh air in camera design?
I am not bashing the GF-1 here, but there are pros and cons to every camera.
Best bit about the GF-1? i know its using the G1's lightning fast AF. Wish i can have that in my E-P1
But actually its true. Haha... normally I don't want to use fill in flash for any close up. It's very
terrible outcome. It always make subject looks bad. Probably my skill is baddddd.....
Anyway, got one solution. Have you tried diffuser with fill in flash? I heard its a lot of better.
If diffuser, maybe the GN6 flash for GF1 is useful? But bringing a diffuser somehow is trouble
some also.
That's why I think if bring diffuser, might as well bring bounced flash, eventhough I never tried it....
haha... if I get FL-20 or Metz 28, I need to bring diffuser along.. probably you guys are right. I should
get Metz48 or FL36....
And yes, the design of E-P1 is so cool... I already told my friend that even though I don't take photo
with my E-P1, the white camera is just so cool to be displayed in the cabinet... muahahah....
AF is slow but it is usable for me. I disable face detection and set to single AF point in the middle.
By the way, you said RM600 extra for EVF. We never know the GF1 street price yet (not the retail
price). So don't be so fast to judge...haha
