Very quiet, when will the firmware 3.0 make available for Xtreamer Pro? Will it fix the WMV files problem as my earlier post above.

i also got this problem with my sidewinder,, some .mov files too

As far as we know, Realtek chipsets do have some problem on playing certain .wmv files.

For Chinese Xtreamer fans

Tons of Chinese Movies/Series/Live TV/Music Video/Music, etc.

Follow the following steps: -

a) Copy the attached zipped file into your PC/Mac, then unzip them.
b) Using FTP, copy the 'index.php' into your Xtreamer's subfolder,i.e. script/xtreamering folder. ( I did backup of my entire xtreaming folder in case it did not work )
c) Then copy the two image files into script/xtreamering/image
d) Restart your Xtreamer
e) Go to Xtreamering, you should able to see 'Chinese TV' on the first line of your Xtreamering left hand menu.
f) Click it, and you will see the following pictures.

Are you able to stream the dramas smoothly?

With 5Mbps UNIFI, most of the drama are extremely smooth, some of them were splitted into 7 sections of each series, thus the video streaming files are smaller to be transmitted.

You can see the above video link that I recorded (2 minute plus) without buffering issues.

However, if watching Live TV, sometimes facing buffering problem.

Rtmp media (such as Taiwan 1st TV - 台湾壹电视）can be played very smoothly, mms media (such as HK TVB8) can not be played with current Xtreamer firmware, hopefully the next 3.0 firmware should be able to.

Hi,

Copy the index.php file directly into the xtreaming folder on my flash drive to replace the old one and added the two new picture files in the picture folder...can't get the Chines channels to display!

Did I do something wrong?

First, did you restart your Xtreamer after copying the files?

Second, not sure if it works from flashdrive, mine is HDD.

I just use my PC to copy the files into the HDD, and slot into Xtreamer PRo.

It works but my streamyx not fast enough to stream smoothly.

Sorry to say, one needs at least 5Mbps to play a smooth video streaming, >10 Mbps is perfect.

I tried watching HK 本港台 and some korean TV channel with 1.5Mbps streamyx. can play smoothly.

For those having Unifi, already can stop astro. Quality is nice for TVB dramas in youku and the rest.

Live sports F1, EPL, La Liga as well?

Sorry, for paid-channel, I don't think you can watch them 'Live; only public/free channels

I am wondering if future Xtreamer firmware can provide us a feature to enter those TV channels' URL, and we can customize and save them as favourite. That's will be great !

While a lot of people probably get Astro for TVB, the main draw for satellite TV is live sports. It may be wishful thinking that it can be streamed live "free" as the rights to sports are really sky high now.

I used to able to detect Xtreamer Pro HDD automatically from my iMac but I can't detect the HDD now. Weird!

But I still can view the HDD folders from Xtreamer Pro.

Even I key in the server IP address, no response from HDD. Please advise

~ Bro.. when the XTREAMER ULTRA n PRODIGY coming in.. ? ~

I am facing a problem on my Xtreamer Pro and need sifu here to advice.

I am using latest Firmware 2.7 and using Western Digital Green 2TB WD20EARS without any harddisk detection problem. Recent I bought another WD Green 2TB but model is WD20EARX instead. I can read the HDD from my PC but my Xtreamer can read it. I have tried to use Xtreamer to format it and it able to read by the player after that, but my PC can't recongice the HDD that formatted by the media player.

Both my PC and Xtreamer also format it as NTFS but why not compatible to each other? Anyway to solve this problem?

Turn on FTP and NAS at Xtreamer Pro Setting, see if it works?
