Finally, the latest firmware can bitstream 7.1 DTS-MA and TrueHD, but can it do for 5.1 as well?

Bought the Xtreamer sidewinder last week from hdwarexpert.

The Xtreamer Sidewinder is able to play DTS-HD MA and TrueHD audio via HDMI to my Denon 2310, I'm streaming from my opensolaris NFS share.

However, I faced this HD audio issue, it stutters when playing BD-ISO if enable HD audio pass through, only certain BD-ISO has this issue. if play it in M2TS format, it is fine.

some more, the movie jukebox doesn't support network share, a little bit disappointed with it.

I think I've got a problem with my movie jukebox. I'm using xtreamer sidewinder with the latest firmware 2.4. I use a external usb hdd for my movies. the xtreamer is not connected to any network/internet.

When i go to the movie jukebox menu, it prompts me to press 1 to agree and download. Then it prompts me that there is no update available. What am I suppose to do to enjoy the movie jukebox function? Please help.

how you're going to download jukebox if you don't have internet connection to your Xtreamer???
even if you get the jukebox installer from other source (not sure if any), you still need to provide a lot of information for the jukebox to become functional. easier if you just connect your Xtreamer to the net though!

Do you mean that you want to use jukebox on your PC?

I was wrong, xtreamer movie jukebox does support network shares, the requirement for movie jukebox is it needs an internal storage such as usb flash, internal 2.5" hdd or usb hard disk to store jukebox files.

Guys, anybody have any problem with no video when playing Prince of Persia by hubris? can play using my PC but not xtreamer..

Those files were removed from server. I got them halfway only. Somethin must have gone wrong.

Updated the F/W. So far so good.

I'm almost finish dling the Hubris version. Will test it out, see how it goes.

u have to remux that file..use mkvmerge 4.1.1..theres under extra option there..select no compression for both video and audio..only took 3 min..works well for me after that..

not on WDTV live also. It is the file problem. As advice you need to use mkvmerge GUI.

A little update from Xtreamer.

A new beta FW will be released to the Xtreamer BT group soon. The changelog is short but looks good to me, of course, as it is mainly an improvement & bugfix release and we love bugfixes... also it incorporates some useful ideas suggested by our fellow users in the community.

New Features
1. Full control functionality (like media library) for online playback

- Now user can see full info, can skip +30 Sec/+3 min (http only), can zoom dynamically or can use subtitle for online playback
- Need to use “SwitchViewer(value);” in rss script to apply this controllability [values: 0 = reset, 1 = HTTP, 2 = MMS, 4 = RTSP, 7 = All]
- Once set, it will be applied for all views, so need to reset (using value 0) if you want to use for particular page.

Improvements
1. DTS5.1 and Dolby Digital can be supported SPDIF audio output without "HDMI AUDIO" Setting

4. Default DNS changed to 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS) to improve YouTube streaming

[Note: to get new DNS effective must do “Restore Default” after Firmware upgrade]

Bugfixes
1. Spindown function always on if spindown set off and reboot
2. Fan speed value for Medium has been reduced as it caused noise (for Xtreamer Pro only)
3. Manual setting of Fan Speed don’t works (for Xtreamer Pro only)
4. Some “Smi” subtitle can’t detect in multi lingual subtitle
5. During playback MKV file with external subtitle (SSA or AAS) if “Next” button pressed, system crashes
6. Internal subtitle can’t display correctly in subtitle popup menu

Updated X-Pro with latest firmware...

got this error ""Please check network condition and retry"" with trying to activate the Movie Jukebox function.

followed the instructions from this page...

Anyone with the same error when trying to activate jukebox for the first time?

it will never play full bd java menu. Look for sigma8642/43 chipset.
