last Wed i got unlucky and hit a big gigantic rock on the LDP fast lane (god knows how it got there). Since my car is low I need to evade it, but it hit my ParadaII sidewall ;__;

There buldging on the sidewall, but no cracks.
How safe am I to use this tire until next change?

The thread still looks good i guess, it will be a waste to throw it sad.gif

Anyway, any recommendation of 205/50/15? i want to make my car look wide. Im fine to sacrifice the performance as trade.

IMHO, you should change the tyre. You have mentioned that there are no cracks, however please bear in mind that tubeless tyres has steel threads sewn into the rubber compound. Judging by the pic you took (very detailed pic), it seems to me that the steel threads holding the tyre sidewalls has been compromised. So, do change the tyres asap coz you never know what will happen when you next hit a small hump/pothole on our 'superb' Malaysian roads. Just my 2-cents. hmm.gif

IF I were in your situation, what I would probably do is change both left and right tyres. Throw away the 'rosak' one, use the 'OK' one to pasang at your spare tyre rim (unless you are using those mini-spares). blush.gif

On your tyre options, I would recommend Bridgestone MY-01 195/50/15 which should be retailing at around RM190 - 200/pcs. Good grip + not so noisy, IMHO.

noted.. im planning to switch both, and the good 1 piece might end up in garage sale zone lol.

Im interested with square profile tires with rim lip protector.
Aside from GoorYear, what other options do I have?

Currently im thinking of GY RevSpec2, Hankook v12/rs2, Yoko C/Sdrive 195/55 profile

I run on adjustable, so i shouldnt worry 55 profile touching the fenders wink.gif

is hard for us to accurately judge how many %% left, we just agak-agak the %% left

the groove (the big longkang at the tire) there got some small knot that come out abit (or watever you call it) that is the safety mark of the tires, when you can feel the knot or the surrounding thread same level with the knot then is time to change the tires.

u need to change it instantly... don drive it any more... 205/50 R15 is quite hard to find...
go for PP2 and or GY GDS3 you will never get wrong... but please tell us what you want Ride Comfort, Noise and Handling??? which one is 1,2 and 3...

Hankook V12 is more towards comfort with performance, PP2 is more towards handling and performance, GSD3 is more on grip and performance...
i already give 195/55 R15 tires review on last 2 weeks please search for the post u will read more about my experience on Michelin PP2 vs Hankook V12... and for those that wanna recommend D-01 and My-01 please don recommend ppl this tire especially for them who wanna have spirited drive... user of that 2 tire can throw away as it is not that performance as what u see on the thread pattern...

@rompers, Throw tat tire away... please again please don buy that tire if you always drive at high speed... it's traction is only rated at B which is sucks... i can easily but a way better tires for RM200... cheers...

as tests shows PP2 is not at no 1 at braking distance... but Hankook V12 is... but there is some advantage on where the hydroplaning is still consider best of the class, but Hankook cannot match them... but V12 give you a better grip in the corners... so user choice to choose... smile.gif

guys, wanna ask. my car's front tyre almost botak, the right one is like 50%, but the left one is like 80% botak. why is it so? but my rear tyre is still good. is it because of alignment problem? I tried myself, i let my steering goes free, and it indeed goes to the left automatically = =". my friend told me is because of the nature of the road where it's higher on the mid and lower till the left. So, does this indicate my alignment is not properly adjust?

yes... it is normal u have the left front wear faster than ur right front... you need to do rotation if you notice that... smile.gif or every 10K km u need to do rotation to keep all the 4 tires wear rate at a nearer level

Thanks for the responses guys wave.gif

Just got back from TekMing Sunway, after fitting on Hankook V12evo.
Will do some run-ins before testing on corners.
Since my car is slow-bai, im interested in fast corner entry/exit (poyo aje)

As expected, the rim got dented ;__; but it was fixed.
No doubt PP2 is good, but I want to try all other performance tires.

Why is everyone avoiding GoodYear reVspec series?
When I got my potong rims, it came with RevSpec ver1, and I like the grip and noise level.
Not too shabby in the wets and rim lip protector is a bonus

er... 2 yrs??? haha... my tires will not last more than 1.5 yrs... FYI tire thread life should be around 40k~60k km, it depends on your driving style and the thread wear rating of the tire... what car are you driving and how many KM have u used it???
a tire should not be more than 5 yrs old from it's manufacturing date and also u must rotate it after 10k km of usage...

or read the top post in this page for link

what is your stock tire size? what is your of driving style? Comfort, Handling and Noise which is the priority???
then we can give you more suggestion...

Try GY F1 Assy... nice tire... but around RM400/ pc... D01 throw away if you want safety... that is for normal driving not for spirited drive... and high speed drive in KL
