QUOTE(cheeann @ Nov 21 2009, 07:45 PM) neo cps not 17"? ? was 16". there is one in my garage now. looks like a golden megatron btw i've not seen any local car upgrade to 225/55-16 as d tire is so freaking expensive n it's ard rm630-700 per piece tire~ my previous 205/55/r15 is bloody expensive for a 15" too rotating problem. gonna use the same size for all. Falken 912 for more comfort but lose a bit on traction... A Drive R1 is directional tires will give you more gripping but a bit noisy...

went to sepang trackday on 22nd nov, my toyota is with 20v engine. using hankook v12 in front. it's very good. whacked all the corners to the max my car can take, and the tires never fails me. after 5 non-stop rounds, it show some sign of oversteering, but still acceptable, only need to relax on the steering to allow earlier straightening. dat day was too much red flags, so impossible to carry on 10laps non-stop. upon checking the tire each time in the pit, the tire never suffers from peeling off and still looks very solid.
camber setting front -2.3", rear -2.0" . other frens running federal 595-rsr, was highly impressive with this tire also. really worth the average rm300 for 15" saw a stock satria neo manual running potenza re001, also clocking very good timing. |

thanks. ya i'm surprised too at the tire performance. at first i reluctant to join becoz those V12 still consider street tires, quite sayang to whack the shit outta it. previous street tayar used, those got peeled off. techno 55 (long time ago), then maxxis ma-z1, then parada spec2, all three can't take the extreme push.
occasionally use leftovers from MME slick tires, that time only can fully enjoy the track surface rather than slicing the rubber off. |

maxxis tyre sux... yoko parada spec2 isn't for spirited driving as well.
i'd rather use r888 for dry track. |

QUOTE(yngwie @ Nov 26 2009, 10:06 PM) maxxis tyre sux... yoko parada spec2 isn't for spirited driving as well. agree. but at times if can't afford r888, so have to make do with street tires like maxxis or parada. those also can improve your track skill as you'll able to tell if the tire is giving away. only when i'm prepared with ad07 or semi's then dat time will have proper track enjoyment.... i'd rather use r888 for dry track. |

currently using 595evo after been using some time i wan to change some wheel setting.
I notice the tire outer wear off higher then my inside tire... current setting is camber 1.5 maybe later will try camber 1.8~2.0 to reduce the outer wear uneven ... will i reduce the braking performance in strait line due to the higher camber setting? |
