guys, need advice
i got my vios j last week n i have bought vios G rim+tires which was made on week50 of 2007, still have 95% thread
my Question is will the tires get harder n become not good as its 3 years old jor? or i shld stick wf my new J rim besi 1st, after few years aldy baru i tukar new tires wf the G spec rim ?
*
well i can use it as long as it don have any minor crack... and it is only 2yo++ already... so u can use it until middle of the year but careful on the Ori tires as it is not that good also... if you wanna change suggested to change toe 195/55 R15 to get a bit lower in the profile and wider thread... try Michelin PP2 i trust that will fit Dugong well... smile.gif

i think Hankook V12 suits u but there is a down side which it is directional and a lil noisy than A Drive... or u can try Falken 912 which is comfort and nice...

no la... V12 is very cheap indeed compare to my previous PP2... u cannot get anything like that already... but PP2 will surely top V12 on the Hydroplaning smile.gif i had done 140km/h raining cats and dog on the way from S.Petani (Kedah) back to Penang Island... V12 i had experience some hydroplaning already (around 20~30% used) at Klang Valley areas... sad.gif
the comfortness, traction V12 tops PP2 but not much but handling at high speed PP2 tops V12...
actually this 2 tires is like opposite character... Comfort, High Grip in Corners (dry/wet), Braking distance (dry/wet) V12 tops it... Quietness, Handling in Highspeed, Hydroplaninng Wet PP2 tops it... so is like what you want... smile.gif
i will choose back PP2 anytime... but V12 is a alternative choice for me...

BTW what size are you using... i assume u are using similar as mine 195/55 R15 by the budget that u set...

CC1 skip it.. i'm using 1 set... got problem a lil... try to look for Michelin XM1 should be around there and A drive should be cheaper around RM130...
if you change all ask for FOC Balancing, Alignment and also Valves...

not necessary if u have the cash go ahead... if not then consider it if the toe is more than 3 degree... the threadwear will be obviously affected if it is that much ...

QUOTE(McRyan @ Jan 25 2010, 10:45 PM)
PP2 is ? vios g tires is 185/60R15, can fit in 195/60R15?
its bumpy maybe the tires not tat good aldy cos it has been abandoned for 2 years in the store room
juz now whn i drove home, i can felt tat handling n cornering is mch better comapared wf 14", n its potenza ER30 is silent too, g/year GT3 is noisy
but braking system turns not tat grippy wf 15", mb its made for 14' but not 15"
is 195/55R15 can give me the comfyness tat 165/65R14 does ?
*
bro u are getting Potenza ER30 ar... BS tire is a bit hard on sidewall but what is ur size now??? 195/55 R15 or 195/60 R15 or 185/60 R15??? i think u should not get 185/50 R15 it is a non-common size, hence it will be a lil expensive la...
well it you are no 185/60 R15 it might give you a softer feeling and it is no problem with ur braking but it is ur feel of the braking... try to do some similar maneuver and braking... actually is the feel when i change from Michelin PP2 to Hankook V12 i have that feeling also but after a while it is ok already since the sidewall of V12 is softer so i have that slower braking effect feeling...

lets discuss more in Vios thread... smile.gif

Dear all,

i'm planning to change my 2 years old tires (195/60/R15) on my Honda Accord..currently the handling of the car is kinda bumpy maybe it is possibly due to the rubber hardening..

Basically, i m looking for something which are comfy and safe...what would all the sifus out there recommend? Budget is below RM250 per pc

i have Falken 912 and Michelin Premacy in my mind currently...please advise me..

Many Thanks ya'all!
*
bro is Primacy LC... both also good review from ppl but Primacy LC for ppl say a lil weak on hydroplaning but i'm not that sure...
all the while we have good feedbacks on 912 try that... smile.gif

QUOTE(vexus @ Jan 27 2010, 03:41 PM)
my old yokohama A drive side wall still thick but middle rib thread almost gone.

right now thinking of getting yokohama C drive or falken ziex 912 or hankook ventus v12 or hankook ventus prime k105.

must change 4 new tyre before 1/2/2010.
*
what is ur size??? 195/55 R15 i think???
try V12 if you don mind it is directional tires coz it produce more noise than normal asymmetric tires like A Drive, C Drive or 912...

QUOTE(vexus @ Jan 28 2010, 06:54 PM)
went to weng tat just now asking for 195/55/r15 hankook v12

he said no stock and very expensive, over rm200.00. Ask for yoko C drive, waited 10min he said no stock.

then i turn to teck meng ask for hankook v12 also said no stock.

Ask for yoko C drive also no stock, He call other store and ask got stock rm235 2008 tyre. Ask for yoko Db also said no stock.

end up at hup shun falken 912, rm175. W14Y2009 tyre. quite new. Camber rm30 each. Quite expensive for the camber adjustment. Rm820 total.

195/55/r15 so hard to find tyre.
*
bro RM200 call expensive how about others UHP tires... u are getting cheapest 1 i should say... if you wanna save RM80 and not willing to go to Klang... then u need to survey more... the new stock as i heard also will be a lil expensive compare to the old 1s...
just tell u need to change 4 tires... they will tell u the price then ask them to including balancing, alignment and valves... coz they will ask you to do chamber adjustment and stuff but that is purely business purpose, if your chamber is not out by 3 degree and ur tire do not have wear problem then u can just ignore it for this moment...
be a smart consumer, acknowledge the so call small issue but do not let them to make it as if very big problem for you...

QUOTE(mikeair @ Jan 29 2010, 12:02 AM)
anyone can comment on yokohama A. R1, C drive and S drive? interms of dry, wet, cornering, comfort and noise on 195/50/15 or 195/55/15.
thx alot
*
i think C Drive is more quitable for you as it is their premium comfort... S drive is too sporty for you...

eh... i though u changed rim or tires... cos u say not good mah... hmmm haha... i know stock tire is that size... smile.gif

well as you prefer... but if you want comfort i think 912 suits u but it will be a lil noisy after 5000km... XM1 only entry level tires... u want better ones better change to 15" for 195/55 R15 tires... smile.gif
