QUOTE(techmostwanted @ Jan 4 2010, 02:16 PM) hmm, what do u mean by rotation by the way? explain more a bit im a car noob er... 2 yrs??? haha... my tires will not last more than 1.5 yrs... FYI tire thread life should be around 40k~60k km, it depends on your driving style and the thread wear rating of the tire... what car are you driving and how many KM have u used it??? a tire should not be more than 5 yrs old from it's manufacturing date and also u must rotate it after 10k km of usage... ![]() or read the top post in this page for link what is your stock tire size? what is your of driving style? Comfort, Handling and Noise which is the priority??? then we can give you more suggestion... QUOTE(Joseph Hahn @ Jan 4 2010, 03:00 PM) Is there a quiet and comfort tire with 215/45R17 size? Try GY F1 Assy... nice tire... but around RM400/ pc... D01 throw away if you want safety... that is for normal driving not for spirited drive... and high speed drive in KL |

the MY-01 la.... haha... sorry forget to mention....
Cheaper choice and comfort performance it will be Falken 912 or Michelin Primacy LC both are only A rated (if not mistaken).... for performance you can try Hankook V12 around RM200/pc, Michelin PP2 RM230/pc, Toyo T1R RM250/pc also and the BS Adrenalin RE001 RM280/pc... all these are rated AA once you tried traction AA then you will know how bad is the grip of the MY-01 or D-01... cheers... QUOTE(rompers @ Jan 6 2010, 12:46 PM) Thanks Michael, for the tips. I used to run BS RE001. It was good, but can't continuously buy them coz a little on the pricey side. Besides, although tyres are a main component in a car (as it is the only thing that touches the road surface), so many other factors which makes a 'fast' car ('fast' here is relative to an individual's taste of top-speed on a straight road or fast corner in/out). Suspension set-up...bla, bla. well Falken 912 as per feedback from the user for normal driving is ok... Michelin Primacy LC some ppl found that it is not that grippy quietness is quite good in deed but still u has to set your preference lo... as both tires never meant to work as good as the RE001 (as in traction) that you used b4... if you wan something nearer to the performance of RE001 but have a lil of comfort then V12 is ur choice... it is cheap and performing well but what i don like is directional (tends to roar a lil louder than assy tires) and the hydroplaning coz i used to PP2 already... haha PP2 is 1 of the best in this categories... Well, back to the tips provided, regarding Michelin Primacy LC and the Falken 912: 1) Where would you recommend to get them from? 2) Any idea of the lastest price range for the size 195/50/R15? I thank you in advance for your answers..cheers! the price for V12 195/55 R15 around RM190... Falken 195/50 R15 about RM170 and Primacy LC 195/50 R15 should be around RM180... V12 i'm sure that u can find 50 series... QUOTE(e-jump @ Jan 6 2010, 12:55 PM) congrates at least you manage to get it... coz i heard still lack of stock in Klang valley... QUOTE(vios2002 @ Jan 6 2010, 01:19 PM) is the same Full Name is Hankook V12 Evo... |

QUOTE(idil @ Jan 11 2010, 02:24 PM) hello there just want to ask.. how much angin needed to be fill in my neo cps 16" wheel? it depends what tire you are on and what do you need... I read on the sticker 30 for front and 29 for rear.. but when the time i collect the car, its 41.. so i buang the angin and follow the sticker.. am i wrong? it is around 32 PSI i think ok kua... since my Vios which is on 195/55 R15 i put 34 PSI at the front... QUOTE(travis_ckf @ Jan 11 2010, 03:19 PM) If u guys wanted to look for hankook, u can come to USJ 19 industrial area (just right after USJ 19 City mall, aka formerly known as Digital 19 mall) and there a shop which is also an authorized distributor of hankook and lenso rims. I;m sure they have plenty of hankook tyres as well. thanks for your info but... the Hankook V12 Evo tire lack of stock is not a shop problem but country wide... KaiShen disty of Hankook tires also do not have stock... duno what is the condition now... but in mid of Dec i still heard ppl moaning about this...I will plan to install my rims n tyres here too. |

QUOTE(kcng @ Jan 11 2010, 03:48 PM) higher PSI (pressure) gives u less rolling resistant and FC will be better i know lower PSI givey ou more comfort and grip but not handling... softer tire will creates more body roll mah how come better handling??? BUT your ride is gonna be bumpy and grip is gonna be lesser... lower PSI gives u better grip and handling BUT increased rolling resistance which will translate to higher FC... ever wonder why track kaki's always reduce their tyre pressure to 4-5 PSI lower then usual before going out to track? QUOTE(travis_ckf @ Jan 11 2010, 03:49 PM) I did ask for V12 Evo and they still have stock. They priced me 205/40/r17 for RM290 which is almost more or less like Tek Ming. well that size might be ok but 195/55 R15 is lack of stock... haha... the hype of CT and Vios size... or some wira, waja and some others also...Too bad this month my financial is in ruins and seeing its always not advisable to go to upgrade/buy new parts before CNY, i will do it after CNY. QUOTE(keneshiro7 @ Jan 11 2010, 09:01 PM) Hi all bro here, well A drive R1 is directional thread but 912 is assymetric thread... of course it depends what you want.. Just need to ask Yokohama A.drive R1 compare with falken ze912, which's better? Currently, I'm using a.drive R1( front) and rear silverstone ssv.. because my rear tyres are botak alrdy, so i planing to change new tyre match with my front tyre. Im considering a.drive R1 or falken ze912. which's better? Directional thread gives u more traction during the corners... but assy thread give you more lower humming noise (more quiet)... but as per feedback 912 is not that quiet after 50% of usage also... i think if you are happy with R1 stick with it... |

haha... between that 2 i think A Drive R1 kua... as it is at least directional and 912 is only performance passenger tire... for that size i recommend you to get Hankook v12 evo... nice tire with reasonable price... beat 912 easily in corners and wet traction too...

QUOTE(jolipoli81 @ Jan 12 2010, 11:04 PM) are you serious about 16 is more expensive than 17? well it is not that true kua... but the price is almost the same... I'm driving a waja only...still on stock rims, dang hate that rim! btw, which shop in klang should i visit? well why not change the stock to nicer 15" rims... what is ur tire size at the moment or what is ur stock size... QUOTE(SK_C @ Jan 13 2010, 07:36 AM) Hi all...need advice on tyre selection for my Kelisa well is it R14 or R13??? if R13 it is a bit rare lo if not mistaken... u have only local or indon choices only... sorry can't help more...165/55/R13 (original rims), limited budget (<140), what is the best I could get? well currently is you are on that size try Michelin PP2... my fren Kenari with the same size with urs using the same also but it is around RM200... but u can try out Kumho directional tires or Yokohama A Drive R1 also...
u can get tat size with this few tires no worries it is not really odd as it is used by a lot of Kancil, Kenari, Kelisa... |

Falken depends on model, 912 is ok but not others... or u can try the Hankook V8RS, if you still can find... make sure the manufacturing date is 2009 not 2008

QUOTE(yngwie @ Jan 14 2010, 02:41 PM) i am ugrading to 16" soon. using r888 from my other car + the neo cps 16" wheels. at least, there is a reason for me to drive slow in the wet 2nd to that... need to survey that's y we have the tire price list thread... but sadly ppl isn't helping to compile...but kinda sad to part with my 205/55/r15 rear tires; funny thing a worker at the tires shop in pandan indah don't even believe my car was riding on that size during until i drive my car over for wheel balancing. btw, sometimes in march last year, i went to jalan kapar in klang to look for yokohama tires; most of the shop offer me around 200 bucks a piece without balancing. went back home empty handed. next day, pass by a tires shop in cheras area and the boss offer me the same yokohama c.drive of 195/55/r15 around 380 bucks / 2 pieces including balancing and rims repair. i immediately changed the 2 front. conclusion; jalan kapar isn't the cheapest around but they do offer more varieties everyone on post what they have only... for that size y not try Hankook V12?? around there also but better than C Drive as it is same league with S Drive... but if it is including the repair (i duno what repair) should be cheap already... |

QUOTE(yngwie @ Jan 14 2010, 05:29 PM) yeah, was intially considering the v12 but was not available. the should change ur valve mah... are you using metal valve??? yea for a girl is enough to use premium comfort... my V12 is still under use coz my gf is using the Vios... but my CC1 is over use in my old toy, almost 50% wear after 5 months of usage. might be my toy is a bit heavy (1.3++ tonne) so the front wear quite fast...used most of the tires from yokohama from a.drive r1 , c.drive, s.drive and ad07. plus the 035 or something... never try a.drive though. settled for the c.drive cuz my sister is driving the car. more suitable for girl besides the free wheels balancing, the guy repair my dented rims; and change the valve cover as well. |

bro, hard to judge on the photo but looks like ur thread is already worn until 70% already... it is ur option to change or not... Try out Michelin Xm1 or Yokohama A Drive for ur size for better tire... although it is a bit more expensive... around RM130~140 can kua..
for me i'll just change it as holidays is nearing... and the tire looks like for minor minor crack |
