er... throw all away... ???
well if you are using 195/55 R15 and u wan control during wet condition you have few choices.... Michelin PP2, Hankook V12, BS Adrenalin RE001, Toyo T1R... those tire if not mistaken all rated AA in traction standard... while D-01 is only A or B not sure... Michelin PP2, BS RE001 is a bit hard but if you SEG is on stock then it should not be a problem for you... i had PP2 installed to my SEG 2 set already... Hankook V12 u get all those u wan... but it's Hydroplaning is not that good that day i went back from KLIA to USJ at ELITE... raining quite heavy and i drive around 120km/h it loose to PP2 in hydroplaning but it's cornerning and also braking ability is good also... and the best is it only cost RM190 in Klang Valley... while PP2 cost around RM240, Toyo T1R around RM260 (not that sure) and lastly the most expensive RE001 is around RM300 |

ok... well side wall hardness i duno as i never use Dunlop and BS b4... i only stick to Michelin PP2 for 3 years at least when i put 15" on my SEG... i can say PP2 harder side wall will give you superb handling and also god hydroplaning, since your absorber is quite soft i assume it suits the car...
while Hankook V12 which i install on my vios after 2 set of PP2, my summary is PP2 will give you harder ride while V12 gives u comfort and gripping at cornering, but the downside is the ability of hydroplaning and the handling which PP2 strong at... it is your choice to choose which one u wan... but the traction of all those tire for sure is better than D-01... RE001 i heard it is a bit on the hard side like PP2 or slightly harder... |

yea... compare to others UHP tires it is quite quiet and also among the best Hydroplaning tire... V12's can compare to it when u say traction and braking performance but Hydroplaning lose to it... really shock when i felt skidding a bit during quite heavy rain on highway... only 110 ~120 km/h nothing compare to previously when i'm using PP2 usually it can go up to 140~150km/h

check ur absorber is there any leakage or not is yes then absorber problem cause uneven wear maybe... ppl tends to give wrong info even mechanics they just wanna do more business some times...
and u should always put new tires at the back not front... that is the standard procedure advised by most of the tires companies... BTW have you buy ur tires??? actually V12 is still ok, sure 1 tires have its pro and cons... just like the V12 and PP2... PP2 handling better at higher speed and the Hydroplaning is good good even after 50% wear... but V12 give you more grip on the corners and also provide you with a lil more comfort... and further more V12 is directional tires which is a lil more noisier than PP2 which are in Assy pattern... |

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Nov 6 2009, 04:46 PM) currently using Hankook V8RS 165/50/15 on my kelisa. ST115 i heard is pretty good.. V8RS cannot compare lo... hehe.. previously using Falken ST115. ST115 is so much better. the hankook is good....but cant compare with the falken in dry or wet....especially in wet. the ST115 feels like the road is dry even when its raining. really good tires for wet weather....and hell of alot more quiet too. sux that its out of production for other sizes already though anyway...curious to know... after the D01 feedbacks... i wonder how these tires compare to Silverstone Evol8? EDIT: typo Silverstone never used b4... but saw a lot ppl using it also... i think is on par with D-01 or slightly better kua... what is your size...??? |

that is good price... Energy is entry level tires la... PP2 will work better and it is UHP tires... cannot compare...
bro wanna ask what is ur ride... see if it is (PP2) suitable for your ride or not... coz it has harder side wall hence the comfort level will suffer a lot if you have hard suspension setup... it will be nice to fit on Vios (both gen) coz it will improve the handling, but for Dugong the body roll still there coz the softer suspension setup... but it still depends on individual preference lo... whether is hard to soft... C Drive is like Primacy LC quite ok but give us feedback after usage around 40%... |

not even 1.5 yrs yet la... around there... ours Vios is not that soft la... wait until u drive Dugong... my Vios '05 also stock condition..
for the Manufacturing date still ok as PP2 will last max 40k km only... if you really use it 1.5 yrs gone already so about 3 yrs only... tires life is not more than 4~5 yrs so it should be ok for you but check it the new tire mark is still there or not... it has red line on top of the thread... RM210 is consider cheap, is it in Klang? last time i ask RM220~230 leh... now better... if you wanna fix on your Vios the ride still bearable but u can feel u really go up and down the hump/bump. and also small strip also u can know it... coz it's side wall is hard good for spirited drive and high speed drives... but cornering during wet careful a bit... it will not loose it traction easily but still it is not as grippy as directional tires during corners... Primacy LC not PLC or we call it LC... is a comfort tire which is not suitable for aggressive drive or high speed manoeuvrings and it is comfort, means it has softer side wall... GY F1 Assy is not UHP is Extreme tires but u get almost everything on that... ample of grip in dry and wet and it is surprisingly quiet for a low profile tires...izit good on wet? michilin plc better? @@!!!sakit kepala...some say plc some say pp2..some say GY f1 asy ... |

there is not such size...
for ur size u have Hankook V12, Michelin PP2, Yokohama AD08, Yokohama S Drive, Federal 595 Evo, Toyo T1R, BS Adrenalin RE001... for performance Toyo DRB, Falken 912, Michelin Primacy LC, Yokohama C Drive for comfort... ur choice... the price is around RM170 up to RM300, but Yokohama top range tire AD08 will cost you more than RM350 for ur size... |

Care 2 share ur experince of AD08....Noob here Sorry did not use AD08 b4 coz i know i don like harsh ride that the tire will give me... extreme tires will have hard sidewall to give operation knife sharp kind of precision... 185/60 R15??? change to 195/55 R15 if you wan more grip and also performance tire... what is your ride???Cheers! QUOTE(yngwie @ Nov 15 2009, 06:03 PM) guys, any comment on the dunlop direzza dz101? Falken 912 is better than GY NCT5... NCT for me is killer tires... i can kill u any time... the traction of the tire makes me throw it away after 50% of usage...

QUOTE(shinjite @ Nov 16 2009, 11:52 PM) Wow I didn't know NCT5 is better then Falken 912 I can say NCT5 performance is crap... going down a small hilly slope... it activate my ABS... changed to PP2 it grips well... change to Hankook V12 grips well... i think even Michelin Entry level is on par with it... and GY dare to put it as performance level... and is MY01 better than the 2 of the above? All along in my mind, NCT5 is crap, MY01 is crap, never bother about Falken 912 Falken 912 i heard not bad a lot of NCT5 users changed to it can they say is better lo... not sur how accurate but i swear i will never touch that again... it really give you a heart attack suka suka... |
