QUOTE(gto87 @ May 12 2009, 02:49 PM) is it possible to CF two HD4890 fixed with AC accelero? A bigger casing plus there's a new Mobo with 6 pci-e slot that can make this possible. The main problem is CF bridge which I think is not long enough to connect both cards. Reason I'm planning on doing this is because I want to overcome the heat problem. Anybody have better suggestion other than my method can share their ideas. Thanks guys~ Found my solution hereCurrently Asus makes the longer version of Crossfire Bridge. 9CM to be exact and it has the perfect length which can fit from the 1st slot to the 3rd slot PCI-E of my Asus p6t deluxe. Now, eyeing for a 4890, or maybe I'll wait for HD5000 series out 1st. That way, I can get it a lot cheaper plus by that time I'll have enough fund for my new chassis! Anyway Thanks to those who helped me. This post has been edited by gto87: May 27 2009, 01:55 AM

Updates of the upcoming HD5XXX QUOTE Three AMD DX11 Graphics Cards Expected Late 2009
AMD is planning three models of DX11 graphics cards according to the Hardware-infos, targeting NVIDIA’s upcoming G300. Besides RV870, there will be R800, and RV840 for mid-segment market and RV810 for low-end market. The source indicates that R800 consists of two 40nm RV870 chips.
RV870 will probably be named as Radeon HD 5870 according to AMD’s naming scheme, and RV840 is called as Radeon HD 5850, and R800 is known as Radeon HD 5870X2.
Powered by 1200*2 stream processors, Radeon HD 5870X2 is said to feature GDDR5 memory, core/memory clock of 950/1150MHz, and bandwidth of 286GB/s.
NVIDIA G300 is scheduled to launch late 2009, so AMD is planning to phase out RV870, RV840 and R800 by the end of this year, while no further details on RV810 is disclosed yet. SOURCE

QUOTE(metsatsu @ May 27 2009, 11:53 AM) Updates of the upcoming HD5XXX SOURCE1200 only? I heard there's a bump in the ROPS TMU etc as well. Assuming linear scaling(and not considering the bump in ROPS and TMUs), this card is 1.9x more powerful than 4870. This post has been edited by blindbox: May 27 2009, 09:26 PM

Hi gto87, Thank you very much for the screen shot. I was getting about 9.9k mark for my GPU alone and I thought my HD4890 is abnormal as I can see some results over 10k mark for stock speed of HD4890.
