@mizi28, 4870 is indeed overkill in most 19" monitor... but crysis is diff story here.

@XiuKeong, u are using a 19' wide screen? if so, ur game cant push the resolution very high, so using 4870 will be overkill. (correct me if i am wrong)

Maybe 4850 or 4770 is enuf for nowaday high end game on ur monitor wif high setting already... wait u got enuf money one day... CF it : ) and change ur monitor

lol~!... then u wan a long run card?? maybe 4770 really do help u le... cs , wc3, pes2009 ...ALL u can play SUPER MAX setting with it already.... only if u wan play high end games...like far cry ..crysis... or more cpu demanding game like gta4... then u need a real high end pc.. : )

there are 2 types of reference cooler. currently, all are using the cheaper (and fugly) version of cooler.

There will b non-ref board/cooler available within these 2 weeks time...

AMD Plans Price Cut For HD 4800 Series In Q3

Starting from next month, AMD will cut the prices of their Radeon HD 4890, 4870, 4850 up to as much as US$50. This move is probably to lower the current inventory of their high end GPUs to make way for the RV870 series in September.

Price of HD 4890 card will be lowered from US$249 to US$199 while HD 4870 will be priced at US$149, down from US$199. Lastly, HD 4850 which we already saw the prices plummeting due to HD 4770 shortages will go below US$100 this time.
