QUOTE(ceekay78 @ Oct 25 2011, 09:54 AM)
I need some guidance from all of u....
...Last 2 week's ago i just changed new rims taken from the new Myvi Se 1.5, the tyre+rims = 175/65/R14 and swap with my normal standard 13" tyre+rim. Ive used for two weeks now til 2 days i heard a loud sound coming in from my behind 2 donuts....my guess is my fender must had touch the wheels or the tyre not supported for viva? sad.gif

Btw previously the most people in my car was max 3, but 2 days ago i brought my family go jalan² around town, every road bumper or when at road corner can hear screeching sound coming in from behind the two wheels. I got ask around, most of my friends suggest me to buy new coils / spring or ketuk my fender....what you guys suggest?
*
well, viva suspension is known to be very soft to be honest, especially the rears. that myvi SE rims are the same size as my original viva elite rims. BUT, the tyre profiles are not. 65 is known to be thicker than the 50 of elite. that makes the tires higher thus, easy to touch the fender on full load. instead of ketuk which will spoil your original look, you might want to try to install spring buffer if you don't have budget to go for a stiffer suspension. spring buffer will just cost you below RM100 per piece.

http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1881366 just for example. you can look for more sellers here in LYN.

anyway guys, update on my bearing. i've found NKN bearing from japan that will cost us RM70 per piece, cheaper than original perodua and from the seller said, it's tougher than the stock, i hope it's true. gona installl it this thursday and hopefully it survives for a long time.

they don't have it(bearing) listed down at their products, but since i bought 2 pairs of bendix from them and a few other aftermarket 'parts' , i just sms'ed them asking for Perodua Viva Elite EZi and they replied. they don't entertain calls. just sms or email for better tracking.

search for the user 'kent goh' at LYN. they have quite many threads with aftermarket goodies at automotive section biggrin.gif

anyway, here's mine

Perodua SC Bangi charged RM70 or RM45 per side for labour charge. They(perodua) told me i couldn't claim warranty for bearings because of my bigger sport rim, so i bought from XD Autoparts and got it install at that SC. same like my bendix and a few other parts. Perodua Bangi SC didn't have problem installing them tho, just a gentle reminder from them that some of those parts might void my warranty for that particular mechanism laugh.gif

oh, a friend of mine got this wheel bearing for RM60 per side, daihatsu brand. if you have contacts and time, you can look for it too.

anyway sifoo, you're using bigger tyre profile and stiffer suspension than mine. but my bearing kaput first. i think it had something to do with the road i'm taking and my driving rclxub.gif

my Aircond compressor also giving me problem already. but it still cold just funny noises when idle and when speeding. i think it has something to do with the bearing kit for compressor. ask perodua and they want to change the whole compressor which cost me more than RM1k. so, i'll go for bearing kit that is available at the 'outside' spare part shop. will keep you guys updated about this compressor thingy.

i think if i were you i will just replace that with ori from P2. chasis part is always good to use back the original UNLESS those reputable aftermarket company came with lighten+stronger torsion beam for our viva.

after you've got it replaced, i suggest you to install Rear Lower Bar from Ultra Racing http://www.ultraracing.com.my/Bars.asp?ID=2468 . it can give the extra support, hopefully hmm.gif

Anyone change their radio antenna before? How much? Finding the original type, those aftermarket short type doesn't perform well like the ori did.

Actually I just need the stick part. The part where it's installed on the roof is still there. I broke the stick while parking under a tree. XD

says if change aftermarket rim and tyre (bigger than stock)
will void warranty for suspension, absorber etc,(correct if wrong).so that mean
cannot change it till 3 years to avoid warranty issue?
