Arsenal's defence may be bolstered this summer by Paris Saint-Germain's teenage prodigy, Mamadou Sakho, according to the Frenchman's agent, Tim Hager.
Arsenal could well land the defender, but Hager claimed that the Gunners are "too cheap". Sakho has also interested Bayern Munich and Barcelona. The defender's destination of choice, though, is the Premier League.
The player's representative told Sport, "He will be moving clubs this summer. Arsenal are interested, but the club are too cheap at the moment."
Regarding the likelihood of a summer transfer, Hager said, "I think a transfer will happen soon. He wants to play football in England and Arsenal are a good club, however, Manchester United are a better club.
"Arsenal want him, but Manchester United [do] not. Barcelona in Spain, and Bayern Munich in the German league are also interested.
"The most interested club is Arsenal, they want him the most. Bayern Munich are a top European club, so I think it will be Bayern or Arsenal."
When pressed as to what Arsenal fans could expect should the deal be finalised, Hager spoke highly of the 19-year-old.
"He is not a Laurent Blanc," he said. "He is the new Lillian Thuram, or probably the new Marcel Desailly... Yes, the new Marcel Desailly."

Arsenal must acquire multiple summer recruits if they are to continue to compete at the highest level, according to Dennis Bergkamp, who would welcome the addition of Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure, brother of Kolo, at north London club.
"It's wise to get some new players in for the team's sake," Bergkamp told Sky Sports News. “It's always a good feeling when you get four or five new players in the dressing room.”
Arsenal have been linked with a plethora of players so far, with increasing speculation surrounding the futures of PSG defender Mamadou Sakho and Ivorian international Yaya.
"He [Toure] would fit in straight away, of course, because of family there. He was training with us I think for a few weeks," Bergkamp said, briefly recalling his days as a player with the Gunners.
Francesc Fabregas has recently spoken of his commitment to the club, however, the future of creative Dutch forward Robin van Persie remains uncertain. Bergkamp holds no grudges. "You have to respect their views and see what they think of their situation, they want to win trophies," he said.
Bergkamp has completed all of the necessary coaching badges to manage at the highest level and is currently occupying a training role at Amsterdam giants Ajax. A return to the Premier League, though, is something the former playmaking forward still thinks about.
"It's always open,” he said. “I really enjoyed it there with Arsenal. It opens up a lot of possibilities. I enjoyed it so much."
