Guys,

any news on Arsene coming to KL this month? any purpose?
*
Just checked with AFCSM, the schedule is to be confirmed by the official organizer.

The following is the "brief" information, I have no idea if non-AFCSM members can attend the event. (but from experience, it should not be a problem) smile.gif

Date : Tuesday 9th June 2009

Time : 11.45 am

Venue : Padang Dataran Merdeka KL

Maybe his scout spotted some talent in Malaysia? brows.gif u know Arsene always sign unknown player. Who knows his scout might spotted KimHoong playing brows.gif

As for Zlatan:
Sorry dude, we DID reach Semi of CL, Unlike you?

Regardless of his legendary status at Arsenal, Tony should just STFU. He stumbled in his managerial career, maybe not entirely his fault but he has yet to prove that he is someone of Arsene's calibre. I don't deny that some policies of our board members may have restricted Arsene's ability to run the team (eg transfers & purchases, contract negotiations), but when you don't have any details then maybe you shouldn't be sprouting rubbish to the press which adds fuel to the flames.

Dodgy reports as there are no quotes, no announcements whatsoever. Plus the fact that the only "sources" or articles that we get are all copying each other's sentences.

Then again, I won't be surprised if we signed Vermalen (?spelling) without prior notice or even hints. Dudu was signed in a way that no one knew anything about it until the deal was sealed. At 23, Vermalen seems to be a good and young prospect; but if he really comes it means Sendy's gunner career is probably over. But we'll discuss this after confirmation of any news. Gunnerblog's reporting that all these rumours are hoo-hah-hoaxy so there you go.

"You wanna come to the Grove? Seriously?"

Last but not least... Love you Nicky... STFU Zlatan, you're not even an Arsenal player so why bother talking shit about our team?

OK my bad. Wasnt really paying much attention to early signing by AW really.
The quality always on the final shocking day shocking.gif

btw, let discuss:

Do you feel the partnership of Toure/Gallas/Djou/Silves is good enough?

I personally feels that Djou wasnt really ready for the 1st 11. Dont get me wrong, he is good and he is promising. However I dont see he is partnering well with either Toure/Gallas/Silves.

Toure and Gallas is a big NONO. I remembered that Toure once told AW that he couldnt stands Gallas's ego and requested a transfer.
I rate Gallas higher than Toure. Somehow Toure couldnt play the level he once before ever since returning from African Cup.

What do the rest of the Gunners think? We need to improve our defence. that it.

maybe kolo cant stand gallas, but they did well when they partnered each other. we didn't concede any goals at home in the league and cl since robbie keane till gallas got injured. then the goals came rushing in... 7 in 2 games.. sigh

they dont have to get along. they can hate each other for all i care. they can ignore each other and mess up each other's houses or watever ppl do when they hate each other, but as long as they dont let the goals in, i will be happy. even arsene said that 'not everyone has to like each other'

But i think understanding each other is more important? Look at partnership of Ferdinand/Vidic. They covered each other nicely.

wow did toure really said he couldnt stand gallas? i do think understanding is important, those small discontent might get in the way. if they both play sincerely for the club then it might be a big issue.

Yes and no.

Individually, Kolo and Willy are top defenders. But as mentioned by Arsene throughout the season, the lack of height gives them a disadvantage in dealing with aerial balls. During early season when Willy was burdened by the excessive criticisms and the responsibility of the armband, plus Kolo's horrendous loss of form; this partnership didn't work well. Not forgetting that Denilson at that time was still learning the job and tends to drift upwards, leaving the defence uncovered.

But when we went on the unbeaten stretch Kolo and Willy were pretty solid. We didn't score many back then, but still the fact that our defence was producing clean sheets says something.

Kolo has been able to recapture his form and I think he shall retain his position next season, regardless of any newcomers. Willy, I hope he stays amidst all these speculation that he might leave (which are mainly baseless to begin with anyway); he's still our most experienced and best defender.

Exactly.

Teddy Sheringham, Andrew Cole.

Nuff said.

New third kit? Well it's the speculated kit featured long time ago on arsenalinsider, and it is based on the same design as the new pyjamas kit. I won't be too surprised if we actually have this as our new 3rd kit, as we already had the experience of having 2 new alternate kits in 07/08.

I still prefer the blue jammies... White makes it look even more like a polo top for golf.
