I'm at pasir gudang and this is actually my office connection to do work.Using remote desktop to KL and it is so laggy and frequent disconnects. My home connection is also the same.I've just made report to TM and i heard that they announced that all the selatan region are facing speed problems and kerja pemulihan sedang dijalankan.Maybe that's the cause most likely.Whatever it is,streamyx service is always like this 90%(maintenance,speed problem, cable putus) of all time and sadly we don't have a good alternative for it.

Reporting from Melaka, using my DiGI Edge.

Able to login to Streamyx but can't browse or even login to MSN messenger. MSN troubleshooter says "error in key ports" and whenever that happens it means something shitty has happened to TMnet's DSLAM servers (based on past experience).

Yes, this is why I have asked once before whether when people find slow downs, they are using OpenDNS, but no one replied. Try to use TM DNS for now to see if it helps a bit.

In layman's term, DNS translate the web address like www.yahoo.com to "internet language", which if i have not mistaken, is in numbers.

OpenDNS is located outside of Malaysia, TM has bad routing to overseas as we all know...so by using a DNS that is overseas will just make the respond time slower. Although TM's DNS is gone case, it will still be faster than OpenDNS in most cases.

UNLESS there is heavy packet loss to TM DNS, and OpenDNS got no packet loss, then OpenDNS will be faster. Hope this helps those that dont understand.
