new n82 user here, need some help.

I bought a USB bluetooth dongle for my desktop PC to transfer file from and to my N82, while adding device, i accidentally select 'passkey' and key in abc123. Now even when my colleague BT something to me, they need my authentication.

Unfortunately, my colleague SE phone (non-smartphone) can only key in numbers (not letter), so I can't allow BT connection eventhough I have told them my passkey bcoz they can't key in abc.

How can I remove the passkey in N82?

the 'abc123' passkey should only be valid when connecting to the bluetooth dongle. have u tried the default passkey (0000) ?

not yet. can try tomorrow.

But before I bought and set the dongle on my desktop PC. I can receive and send file to and from my colleague using SE phone. without asking any password.

please check the following:
1) the wifi works and u have selected correctly which wifi signal u want to use.
3) for testing purpose, put ur phone to offline mode when doing this incase u accidentally use gprs.

Hi there. Don't know anyone had this problem before. These few days, after I on my phone, it will show up setting for date and time. Everytime when I off my phone and on it that spilt second, it will always ask me settings for date and time. It's regarding to my firmware? My one is V20.

Hi guys, new N82 user here on Digi. A couple of questions:

1. I tried to reply to a sms today and the phone asked me to put Message Centre Number. What is that...?

2. is there any way to increase the sound volume of the people talking to you on the phone on loudspeaker mode?

Thanks.

1) The number should be saved by default in ur sim card. U can check at
Messaging > Options > Settings > Text Msgs > Msg Centers
to see if it has been entered or not

2)You can see the up/down key on the side of the phone. If it is already max, then nth u can do.

Hi nghj, thanks for replying.

I just check the Msg Centre :-

Message centre in use - None
Character encoding - Reduced support
Receive report - No
Message validity - maximum time
Message sent as - text
Preferred connection - GSM
Reply via same ctr. - no

what can i change there?

Hi ziggy,

If I put in "SIM message centre" on Message Centre in use, it would then ask me to input the message centre number? Can you see any numbers on yours? Is it a unique number or the same for everyone?

Pheww...I never had this problem on my old nokia....

Added on August 7, 2009, 3:32 pmOk, I just googled it and found this on digi site

http://www.digi.com.my/prepaid/use/pre_use_sms.do?page=how

So I set the number +60162999902 and seems able to reply by sms.
