Half price on DiGi prepaid calls this Thursday

PETALING JAYA: About a million DiGi prepaid customers suffered a nationwide service disruption yesterday morning. The mobile communications company is apologising and offering compensation for the inconvenience.

DiGi Communications said in a press release that it is offering all its prepaid service subscribers 50% off on voice calls this Thursday, from 7am to 7pm, as a small way to make up for yesterday’s disruption.

The disruption lasted from 8am to 11.45am and impacted both voice and SMS services.

“I take this extremely seriously. Our customers have an expectation to be always on and I am disappointed that they have been inconvenienced, and for that I apologise,” said DiGi chief executive officer Johan Dennelind.

He said the root cause is known and the matter has been resolved.

50% is nothing lol, should give FREE!

Using UOX or Youth club is already 50% cheaper from DiGi's rate~

They have no obligation to give you discount, so be grateful. smile.gif
Free? DiGi is not a charity body.

well, it's a double-edged benefit ...

for those who was seriously/genuinely affected by the network problem recently, the discount is just a small remuneration to compensate and gain customer's confidence back (read radi0head's story about this fella at petrol station).

of course, those largely that wasn't seriously affected, we're enjoying this benefit at the cost of other's difficulties ...

all in all, i don't want the network to be down again, ever. Make it stable, accessible, and i'd be happy to pay the bills/topups/call charges. smile.gif

Well, I have never heard of that before maybe I was too ignorant because my friend in KK, a Hotlink user didn't tell me about this before.
I believe only Sabah users applied this case but for DiGi's case, it is the whole entire DiGi prepaid community in Malaysia. smile.gif

i think it's a regulation to put that RM0 in front of the SMS sent by telco.... why worry where you won't be charged receiving SMS anyway?
