Another one you can consider is the Anti Mode 8033. Very good reviews and costs 276 euros (incl shipping to here).

Don't know exactly what that means, but my guess is he is saying that AS-EQ1 will also measure the main speakers and helps to blend the sub with the mains.

Whereas AM 8033 only measures and EQs the sub. But if you also have Audyssey in your AVR then that will do the integration. Those who have both suggest that run the 8033 first then Audyssey.

Another very respected sub maker is Danley - they do mainly commercial installations but also have domestic offerings like the DTS-20:

doesn't look too big... is it like a soundbar underneath the projector screen? tongue.gif

If soundbar size it won't impress your visitors smile.gif

Actual size is 87.5" x 18" x 20"

Oh, sorry to hear that. Yeah, Mark should really get his order fulfillment process in order. Not nice to have delay after delay.

So are you gonna ask for refund?

refund?? arrrggghh.... if I order another sub it'll take even longer to arrive. I'm kinda forcefully stuck with it now and I absolutely HATE IT!! Just wrote him a nasty mail from a very unhappy customer.

I thought if you really frus then cancel the order, get refund and buy something else...

I guess this is an issue dealing with smaller companies, when I bought my Rythmik there were also some delays. Basically there was delay about 2 rounds, but since each round is only 1-2 biz days the total delays was about 3-4 biz days. In your case each round is 1 week (since you want to catch Fri shipping special). sweat.gif

ordered the Seaton Submersive lor.. think he only has one model of sub kua..
Mark also has the Terraform and Terraform XL. These are ported models and much larger than the Submersive. The first units are coming out soon.

Preliminary specs:

Terraform XL

* High Output, Ultra Low Frequency specialty subwoofer design
* Two(2) 15" drivers (internally mounted)
* Two(2) 18" passive radiators (HF chamber)
* large enclosure with slot vent tuned to ~12Hz
* DSP Controlled (manufacturer only) ICEpower amplifier (2000w/1200w sustained)
* Tentative dimensions: 52" x 22.5" x 28"
* Weight: Likely to approach 200 lbs

Here's a pic of a prototype:

Hey htkaki,

One thing I wanna ask about gloss black finish, when you use speakers or sub with that kind of finish in a pj room will there be significant reflection off the finish?

Ha-ha, you surely have your inimitable style for uncensored subwoofer reviews! smile.gif

Didn't know you ordered the PC12-NSD and some more so brave to open it up rclxms.gif You really deflowered that sub tongue.gif So now you have 4 different subs at home?

What's your budget for the sub?

Generally the bigger, the better.

I am still figuring out the budget (no specific budget yet). Anyway not going to buy sub that going to shake my neighbour...... just need a decent (worth the money) sub which is good for my living hall.

Added on September 23, 2009, 5:50 pmLet's put it this way.... budget is below RM2k.

Thanks.
*
Good that you have specified a budget. After all your expectations about what is decent may not be the same as what others think. As you know in recent months sub expectations have been raised significantly - people are talking about subs that are 3k, 5k, 8k and more smile.gif

I'll let others with more experience chime in on recommendations for below 2k.

Yeah, ED subs are quite tempting too.

The huge ones like A7-900 are out for me, but the sealed A7S-450 looks to be good value and performs well too...
