KL -> SG is around RM50... SG -> KL is around SGD50. The dollar value is the same, just that it is 2.4x more expensive to get the tickets from Singapore.

What I normally do is to buy return tickets online. Just forecast when is the next trip back to KL (normally 1st weekend of the month) and grab the tickets via online booking. So far this is the cheapeast option for me.

Do you need to 'deal' with them? If you really feel you have to respond... tease them back about earning less than half of what you do, and still pay more tax to build mosques and MARA colleges. Smart...

But Melaka is only 3 hours from Singapore by bus. After you factor in the time you spend checking in and waiting in the departure hall, flying won't save you much time.

YOu cant imagine in holiday how long you will need spend on the road. I have tried it b4 it i took 4pm bus and I reach singapore almost 12am. Its like 8 hours for the short journey. for normal day, its like 4 hours, dun think can make it less than 3 hours. If there is a choice and price not too much, I will go for the firefly.

Ummm, my hometown's in Ipoh... whatever you can describe... been there, done that, and literally doing it tomorrow. Only the Penang and Alor Setar folks are one up when it comes to road trips from Singapore.

Btw, any of you folks thinking of buying a car? I'm thinking the Kia Cerato Forte as an OPC to drive home. Should be around 25K.

I should have bought a lot of shares as well... but as the Cantonese say "yau cho chi, mou hak yee".
