QUOTE(Joelion @ May 24 2009, 09:50 AM) hi guys, I believed they will employ Sg & Sg PR 1st before considering employing foreigner. It make worst by the recent economy recession, a really bad timing for job seekers this year.i m fresh grad with Degree in EE and have been looking for a job for more than 3 month. i had plan to come down s'pore and find a job since most of my application thru job website do not coy any response from s'pore employers i wanna ask is it higher chance to get an interview over s'pore instead of m'sia? what are the document that i shall bring along for employment ? is it true our visa only valid for 1 month , after 1 month we need to reapllly it ? and finally, how was the electrical and electronic market currently doing in s'pore? any job opening ? Suggestion and comment are most welcome as it is urgent as i am clueless now. Added on May 24, 2009, 9:42 pm QUOTE(kimurastanley @ May 24 2009, 09:35 PM) Hi, guys what do you have in mind ? Wired or wireless ? Sg have 3 telcos; Singnet, M1 and Starhub. Can try google up on their website and look at their plans. Their services is reliable, very much better than the Msia telcos and cheaper too I'm going to singapore to work soon. Wanna ask about u all about the broadband over there... How to apply and what are the options i have?? I have totally no idea about that. Thank you Added on May 24, 2009, 9:50 pm QUOTE(nicvoo @ May 21 2009, 04:41 PM) mackiddo's doin tat can ask how much he save. he has a car by the way so u can imagine how much he saves as long as you maintain 'low' profile then it is quite safe. How much you safe depends on how you spent and how much you earn lol police lockup also not safe in jb hehehe This post has been edited by Mackiddo: May 24 2009, 09:50 PM |

actually it's quite convenience to drive in SG. After so many years of driving in Sg, I found it less hectic compare to places like KL. Work place also provide free & sheltered parking.

QUOTE(Precious-Living @ Jun 5 2009, 01:26 AM) I checked this out before and remember that it was SGD30.00 then. Not sure if it has been revised. You'll have to buy an Sg car if you want to drive into Sg regularly. It is SGD20 now and it have been quite a while since the last hiked. This post has been edited by Mackiddo: Jun 5 2009, 08:51 AM |

QUOTE(omniknight86 @ Jun 6 2009, 02:40 PM) if think naively then what you said is true, every countries had discrimination problem such as discrimination based on nationality. even in countries such as UK has it or Australia has it. i don't think Singapore can be excluded out of it, plus i have friends that worked there and said that the countries are discriminating against malaysian because singaporean thinks that they are better than us they are not ? in term of equal opportunity for all, we have already lost out to them. |

QUOTE(dveHetal3 @ Jun 13 2009, 12:19 PM) Hi seantang, since u are mentioning about getting a car. if you wanna convert your Msia driving license to Sg, the Msia license must be obtained before you started work in Sg. You just need to go for the basic theory test and once passed, bring along the JPJ letter to convert. One you converted, JPJ will erase/delete/wipe off your details from their record, means you can't use/renew your Msia license. You still however can use your Sg license to drive Malaysia/Singapore car in Malaysia. If you, for whatever reason wanna give up your Sg license and wanna get back your Msia license, then you can post your experience here May I know how do u obtain ur singapore driving license? I have been told tat one needs to obtain a JPJ letter from Msia before you can sit for the driving test in Spore. This post has been edited by Mackiddo: Jun 13 2009, 01:47 PM |

QUOTE(t0p_man @ Jun 13 2009, 03:39 PM) yeah... also less of mat rempits, snatch theft, rapes, murders, etc ...Added on June 13, 2009, 4:19 pm QUOTE(animob_16 @ Jun 13 2009, 04:10 PM) Hi guys and gals, why don't you get a postpaid plan if you plan to stay for a couple of years ? I'm using Singtel 019, call to many countries only charge as local calls + SGD$5 per month.I will be going to SG next month, but now I am wondering about my mobile stuff.. because my bf still stays in Msia, so I'm not sure which mobile plan shud I take up as I plan to call him instead of he calls me cos I was told SG call rates are cheaper than Msia call rates. So, any mobile plans to recommend?? p/s: I will make more calls to IDD instead of local calls, thanks ya.. one thing to mention, now I have one prepaid card which hi card, so can I still continue using it? or I need to change a better plan? if you are staying for short term then it's better to use a calling card. QUOTE(animob_16 @ Jun 13 2009, 05:37 PM) I'm thinking of postpaid but I heard that we need to find a PR as our guarantor?? I don't think you need a guarantor unless you wanna apply for roaming. The 019 is postpaid Value Added Service (VAS), call overseas to many countries (including Msia) is calculated as local call + sgd$5 monthly fees. On top of that still have to play monthly subscription.your Singtel 019 is postpaid? monthly fees is SGD$5?? |

QUOTE(seantang @ Jun 19 2009, 10:01 PM) 2) for guys, you cant be shirtless in your own apartment, if your neighbours see you not wearing tshirt, they can report to police - Nope. As long as you don't lean out the window, fiddle your nipples while licking your lips and stare at your neighbour, you should be ok. There's also this wonderful new invention called curtains.
