Added on May 24, 2009, 9:50 pmas long as you maintain 'low' profile then it is quite safe. How much you safe depends on how you spent and how much you earn . If you are working office hours, there will be some slight traffic inconvenience at the checkpoint . I don't work office hour, so i don't get caught in the rush hour jam . So how do you plan to travel ? car ? bike ? Getting a Sg car is the best option.

No. you need to register the card with your ic/passport when u buy.

you should have buy it a beginning of the year. now COE is almost back to normal.

but this is different coz you could see the COE crashed ..at least save you around 5k minimum

actually it's quite convenience to drive in SG. After so many years of driving in Sg, I found it less hectic compare to places like KL. Work place also provide free & sheltered parking.

It is SGD20 now and it have been quite a while since the last hiked.

my company treats everyone the same, employment pass, PR or Singaporean, all subjected to the same salary scale. But then again, it's an American company. They tend to treat everyone fairly.

if you wanna convert your Msia driving license to Sg, the Msia license must be obtained before you started work in Sg. You just need to go for the basic theory test and once passed, bring along the JPJ letter to convert. One you converted, JPJ will erase/delete/wipe off your details from their record, means you can't use/renew your Msia license. You still however can use your Sg license to drive Malaysia/Singapore car in Malaysia. If you, for whatever reason wanna give up your Sg license and wanna get back your Msia license, then you can post your experience here coz I can't recall anyone I know that have done it before ... and the best part ? .... license fees is SGD$50 for life, for Singaporean & SPR.

if you are staying for short term then it's better to use a calling card.

I don't think you need a guarantor unless you wanna apply for roaming. The 019 is postpaid Value Added Service (VAS), call overseas to many countries (including Msia) is calculated as local call + sgd$5 monthly fees. On top of that still have to play monthly subscription.

I'm waiting for the iPhone 3GS to arrived. Has been waiting for it since the rumours about version 3.0 coming out. Hopefully they will have priority for corporate members like the 1st time they launched.
