QUOTE(Kyoyagami @ Nov 9 2009, 09:33 AM) Welcome Kyo..How about some commission? PS. You can add the fact to the FAQ (similar sounding pun not intended) that Region changed(Transvestite) Korean Wiis' cannot update to firmware 4.2U. And advise users to not update, in no matter what way so ever. It'll get bricked with Error #003. But I'm not sure about Japanese ones thou. PPS. dunno y, I like using the word transvestite on Korean Wiis. This post has been edited by Dragonflyz: Nov 9 2009, 11:27 AM |

QUOTE(Dragonflyz @ Nov 9 2009, 11:23 AM) Welcome Kyo.. Jap ver no problem with region change and firmware 4.2u. Just don't do the direct update from nintendo. Anyway, there is no real advantage upgrading 4.1 to 4.2 except if you need the wii shop channel which can be updated independently without going to 4.2 (look for wiiscu). How about some commission? yeah, whatever nintendo does, modders will find a way over time. but u notice its getting harder from piracy modders? u must be technically able to be a softmodder. and for some games u can't solely rely on hardmod, u need to top-up with softmod.
nothing will change lah till wii 2 is out. but i hope this site can at least educate the new wii owners about the benefit of unmodded wii. |

congrats man! i don't want to sound like i am establishing a unmodded wii club , coz i am not. but i am glad this site made a difference, even if small.
wil 2 ha. no lah. but i dengar rumour from the industry christmas next year. coz when project natal and itu sony wand kicks in chrismas next year, wii need to go HD already. but i personally think it will be 2011 christmas, not 2010 christmas, coz when microsoft and sony will not able to get market share immediately with their new offerings. anyway, don't take my word, but if i am right, then give me credit je lah |

If there's anything else you need to ask, don't hesitate and ask around. Game recommendation might be a bit tough (it is purely subjective) so you may want to think also before getting to that area. Thanks.

It seems a Wii 2 is pretty close or is it pure rumour? It's a totally revamp console or maybe just a Wii 1.5? |

Recently, Reggie said its not coming. So, I'm banking on that for the moment. And its a little pointless playing the waiting game. Just go ahead and enjoy yourself whenever you want to.

is it difficult to play non-ori games on modded consoles? i tot everything nowadays standard plug-n-play or should i say insert-cd-n-play??? i want to buy wii for the games (since it involves exercise!) but dun want the installation process to be too difficult.
not that I dun want to buy ori but on a budget, what to do.... |

potentially difficult. depending on your mod setup. it could be plug and play, or eitherwise. budget pun boleh beli ori apa. saya pun beli ori satu setiap bulan saje. its within my budget. i have 13 ori games now, guess how long i had my wii?
