Latest US version wii got black and white bundle with wii sport and wii sport resort with motion plus

hi, newbie here. I am interested in getting Wii, but i am not sure which version to get. i have a collection of gamecube games which i intend to play on wii. Just wanna know whether soft modded korean set can play original NTSC U/C gamecube games or not. thanks.

Korean Wii doesn't have backward compatibility with GameCube games.

language difference. but more reliable if you check the Wii box and manuals.

i will be travelling to the states end of the month and i love tiger woods pga tour 11. currently playing on ps3, but thinking of getting the wii console and the game, wii sports too. anything to lookout for? also buy which one better? new slim one or old one? thanks

there is no slim wii. think u refering to the black wii bundle which comes with wii motion plus wii sports and wii sports resort. of course the black wii is better. in the states old and new is the same price, but in malasia the newer seems more expensive.

I can give you some advice coz i bought mine in state too.

You can get your Wii in any supermart like BestBuy, Walmart, Target or other game shop like gamestop etc. No need to go one by one to compare the price because the price is fix around the country. But please go to their website to check the availability because Wii is too popular in states and always out of stock!!! Wii Sport is included in the Wii console. Some supermart will include accessories such as additional Wii Remote or Wii Fit as bundled, the price may or may not cheaper.
Remember US got GST tax, pls add the tax to your price before you decided to buy it. However, if you buy from Amazon you are free from tax and you can ask them to deliver to your US address.

Actually if you want, you can goto bestbuy.com and sum up all the things you want (add GST) and then compare the price that other ppl offer like Kyo.
Frankly speaking, Kyo's games price is very attractive because the one i got from US is merely about few ringgit cheaper.
If you are the type of "warranty-must" guy, i will recommend of buying locally.

If you are interested, this is what i got from states: Wii Console(with Wii Sport) + Wii Remote +Wii Nunchuck +Wii Fit Plus (bundled with Balance Bd) + Wii Motion Plus + Wii Sport Resort (Bundled with Wii Motion Plus) ~ USD 470 (include GST)

One more thing, if you got your Wii from US, remember to buy a step down transformer!! US is using 110V and M'sia is 240V (a good one at 200W will cost you about RM100)

Aside to Shauyan's price, I could say that now the Wii in the states costs less since they have bundled motionplus and wii sports resort.

So, you should be looking at a little close to 400 USD with taxes.

And yeah, stepdown transformer, important!

also, white or black better? my wife thinks white is more traditional and also the accesories and peripherals mostly are white.

guys want to ask something bout the battery in wii mote, too lazy to go and read manual ;p

The original battery they provided is rechargeable or not? If I want to replace it which battery should I go for?Normal energizer AA battery can or not?

The normal energizer or any batts will do , rechargeable also can of any kind which is AA size

The batts included is just normal batts not rechargeable

Convert back to RM, and include the cost of adapter. If its lesser than RM 1150, go for it. If not, go buy from me. But that's just the barebones of the console.

Remember, coming back to Malaysia is another customs thing. So be wary of that.

I just got lucky because they didnt check my luggage.

I think the price you mentioned is just the Wii Console and its standard accessories which is only one set of remote and nunchuck. You have to buy another sets if you plan to play 2 persons.

For the batteries, i will recommend Sanyo Eneloop rechargable. It is quite cheap and you can get it from Amazon too.

Softmod is easy, it just need GUTS here is not the place to discuss about this thing.
