To reduce home screen lag, can try increase the pagepool to 20MB.

btw.. i recall one post which state the sms can revert to like the old wan?? where can i get it.. and how does it looks?? exactly like manila 1.xx?? or the original windows threaded sms??

Actually you don't need to HardSPL your device unless you want to flash custom ROMs or Official ROMs from other region.

Btw, i changed the pagepool size of the new official ROM to 20MB and Sense 2.5 become much smoother.  rclxms.gif
Here's the Pagepool Changer that i used:

wa, u brought the whole set to the service center?
actually u only need to bring the phone itself n warranty card+receipt only.
they will return u the back cover, battery, memory card, sim card n stylus in a plastic bag.

recond set? maybe if it's an old model + they've reset the phone and u won't know how old the phone is anyway
If new models they'll replace u a new one smile.gif

mine seems fine, only some slight lag at the homescreen once in a while. most of the time it runs just fine.
you can search for Dutty's task manager, install that and it'll give you the task manager back at the top right corner smile.gif
you'll need to download a patch, so it reverts back to the original windows threaded sms.

If don't like the htc messaging, can use patch to revert back to previous version of messaging. Read few post back. If don't like the new official ROM, can always flash back to the old ROM, there's no regret. nod.gif

To change the pagepool, you need to first launch the exe ROM file that you've downloaded. Then click next to let it extract the ROM files. Then, go to your windows temp folder (usually located at C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp) and locate the file RUU_signed.nbh (should be in pft60C.tmp folder). Use the Pagepool Changer to open that file and click 20MB on whole part, then click "Change to". Then exit the PagePool Changer program and resume flashing with the ROM Upgrade Utility.
Good luck.

yes you can.. no worries.. the htc usb slightly different because got one extra pin for audio..
for sync, you don't need that extra audio pin so you can sync with any miniUSB cable..
