QUOTE(jontee @ Feb 14 2010, 02:28 AM) TD2 PROBLEM (finally). maybe you can try hard reset the phone, or maybe flashing another ROM.Mine is probably the first batch. Just as i praised it to be the best windows mobile phone i have had, it starts to play with me. 1. The TOUCHFLO keeps hanging! The phone is On, i can receive calls and make calls to the last caller, and nothing else. (The buttons work). and so i get really impatient, and pull the battery out to reset. It worked for a while. Nowadays, i end up pulling the battery out 4 times a day if im lucky and sometimes even after 10 times of reboot, the TOUCH FLO still hangs. Crazy! Anyone experienced this problem ? Im thinking i probably need to reformat the phone. |

QUOTE(steven789 @ Mar 29 2010, 02:02 PM) I think because you need to HardSPL the device before you can flash custom ROMs. Anyone tried the new March official ROM? It's nice but messaging is slow. you mean there's a new official ROM from HTC? Didn't know about it. what's new? This post has been edited by dlwl: Mar 30 2010, 06:05 PM |

i'm getting random lockups with the new rom. i wonder what i've installed, or is it the rom itself that is slow?

i think i know what might be the problem, i have too many messages in my inbox. makes it quite slow coz of the new messaging system HTC is using. is there anyway to disable it and revert back to the windows one?

yes it erases whatever that's stored in the phone. however whatever stored on the memory card wont be affected. you can use Microsoft MyPhone to backup your data, like contacts, text messages, tasks, calendar, notes etc. After you flash just run MyPhone again and it'll sync back everything.

QUOTE(liangtucky @ Mar 31 2010, 06:40 PM) with the new rom, i have free ~185MB storage memory, and ~92MB program memory. this is just after i reset my phone. @deathbringer, it should be worth updating. only problem that bugged me was the messaging thing. and the manila task manager has disappeared other than that everything's working as it should. 2.53 is nicer interface-wise, everything is quite fast also, plus the extra stocks and twitter tab in manila if you need it.
2.17 is a bit bland or boring for me already, maybe coz i've been using it for quite some time. so it's a good change. as for the sms problem, just install the .cab file from the link that rkwan67 posted, restart your phone, and that should do it. you'll revert to the normal windows style messaging like in 2.17. |

yeah it's actually pretty straight forward if you're flashing the stock rom. just download the software exe and run it. that's all.
@VinluV, to check your rom version, start>settings>device information. you should be able to see your rom version and date, etc etc. as for upgrading, please refer to the above |
