Erny, I've received the quotation but not very keen on some design area. I would like to come to the showroom and would like to suggest that you put GPS coordinates for your showroom instead of just address..easier to find.

In the meantime, can you just PM me the coordinates?

see see.. different people give me different sequence... my contractor said after wall and floor thn only build table... by the time thy build table, my tiles will dirty lorrrrr...?

because my table top is using tiles, so my sequence is:

a) build table top with all the sinks installed....(because my sinks are under-mount)
b) open holes for the taps on the table...
c) do mozek tiles on walls for dry kitchen
d) do wall tiles for wet kitchen
e) do tiles for table top...
f) do floor tiles..
g) install taps, hood and hob
h) install kitchen cabinet and island

QUOTE(sewerside @ Feb 29 2012, 07:04 PM)
adelechin, contractor for lighting installation and wiring not yet. Gonna meet some this Sat. Also looking for grill now. We gotten 1 quote from Sg. Buloh, cost RM3500, on all windows, main door, sliding door, tangki window+door, square panel for rear original grill door. Except upstair bathroom windows. Hollow, not solid. I am thinking it's kinda expensive still. So this Sat will try get more quotes.

how about u?

by right, your contractor should be the one planning this for you. This should not be a headache for you in the first place.

Anyone heard of Alpha Kitchen before ? It is located at Puchong Jaya? They deem to be cheaper than factor.

Solid surface 52psf
Wall Unit 50 pfr
Base Unit 100 pfr
Granite top 38 psf

I will have a visit before making any decision. Appreciate any feedback regarding their service and workmanship.

My sequence more or less the same as tiensong.
The difference is that I do not separate dry and wet kitchen and I did table top tiles last.

Wow... it might look freaking odd to have tiles behind the concrete table even if it's gonna be covered with tiles too. From the side you can see wall tiles then concrete(with tiles of course)

but hey, maybe the contractor can do a pretty good job. It's their profession. Maybe you can ask them wat's the rationale behind that sequence. It can be good knowledge sharing to all here, coz we might thought the wrong sequence too all this while.

I've asked Erny for his proposal and quotation for some work to be done for my place.

Will share my experiences on choosing the vendor for this job later on. With the samples shown here and +ve comments shared, I must say that my expectations are high for them.

Me too... Already engaged unity kitchen to install cabinets in my apartment.

Let's see how it goes today

Added on March 8, 2012, 7:19 pmOverall experience is alright.

Workmanship is good. No crooked cabinets. Took one day to finish. 5 people working.

One thing good is all the wall mounted has pelvet design.

Cons is once summed up it's a bit on the high side.

Too bad everskill still owe me the quotation for some material changes. The sales guy told me will call me the next day but now already the 3rd day and I tried to reach the phone without success. Errmmm perhaps Steve can enlighten me.

- Solid surface -> LG instead of local made
- Under mouth solid surface sink -> LG, mean build it together with the top
- Use blum double lift up hinge instead of gas string for wall cabinet

I will try to call again tomorrow.
