Hi All,

My house got this old tiles concrete top (like in the picture), can I do renovation with the existing concrete?
Assuming that the builder will remove the old tiles and use the concrete as a base to make a new kitchen.
Will it save cost?

any advise?

Yes, you can replace existing tiles to new provided all remain the same. About basin I am not sure you still want to remain or change new. About the cost, different tiler different pricing. If you can find good and helpful contractor in package with the kitchen cabinet supplier, they may can help you and charge you lesser.

Hi, normally you can get the kitchen appliances first, then the KC designer will design your kc based on the measurement of all your appliances. But for kitchen accessories like pull out basket or built in dish rack, you can get from the KC showroom. If you buy from Ikea, you have to let your KC designer know the size, because the depth for their accessories slightly bigger.

Hi All, anyone does experience in installing kitchen cabinet for his/her new home?

These days I have met a few kitchen cabinet makers and getting a bit confuse about the materials they are using for my cabinet's door.

Common and economical material being used is ABS melamine board type.

However, there are some makers called this as Chipboard as well.
They claimed ABS melamine actually is Chipboard which I am not sure whether it is correct.

My understanding is that Chip Board is a kind of compressed of fibre wood materials that is even worse than Melamine board.

Anyone know the differences between these 2 materials?

Thanks.

Abs melamine board is abs chipboard
fibre is using sleeves of wood skin to compress to be board
this 2 material is not water proof and hard
