not much actually, I just turned it ON like normal last night, then no YLOD at all, maybe just being lucky..sorry not much of help here

Just after my warranty... My blu ray cannot read. So I sent to shop to replace. After they replaced it...
I played for the first 3 days (30min, 40 min, 20min) and the problem occurred again.

Then sent to shop and got it back and against the same coincident three days it died... I told the dealer and he asked how come... I was pissed off and I asked him back how come. Now I sent him the 3rd time and told him to test after repair...

I know some of you guys in the thread are quite technical... why is this problem coming back? I'm not a heavy gamer, i only play during fri, sat, sun not more than an hour...

Here are some details:
My ps3 is 40GB set, S'pore set.
I never play bluray or dvd movie on this set before.
The ps3 is kept in a well ventilated area.
I put the box horizontal to play game and tried vertical to test when the lens got prob

i wonder why my fifa09 hangs whenever i am playing with two controllers, but when i restart the console, everything goes back to normal... weird

last week i'd try RE5 demo too..after install 1st time start the game, no sound. ok nvm...restart the game..set my audio setting. start the game 2nd time..ok..this time got sound. so i started the game...it juz lagging at the loading, the background is moving but in extra s~l~o~w~ mode. i was like wtf?!?! then qucikly force restart my ps3 coz press the ps logo on the controller oso not work.

sumthing wrong with RE5 demo?

luckily everything still going fine till now...

dun worry la this one, RE 5 demo very buggy.. always hang here and there.. but no permanent damage to my ps3 so far la " it shouldnt concern the lens also cuz its a downloaded game i guess..

hey guys. Did u notice the black glossy piano finish of the PS3 body is very easy to scratch? did u guys feel irritated by this?

apply guitar polish.

a lot of us bought the protector for it already.

u better delete the RE5 demo..

yeah... delete it before it kills ur PS3...

I think its just the demo only, but not the final build..if not many PS3 gamers that have RE5 copy might turn to angry mobs already

the one on the left supposed to be the good lens and the one on the right supposed to be the bad lens

unfortunately.. my ps3 first lens, is the one on the right.

i supposed i was conned when the my first lens was replaced with the low quality lens and was sold to me

i dunno the reliability of this lens and i am pretty sure most console technician out there get their supplies from this website.

My PS3 finally got YLOD

Kesian..... how is ur PS3 situation now??

still in red blinking(nonstop)
plus my disc still stuck inside dunno how to eject the disc

may i ask, how long have u had the ps3? which model is it?
mine also YLOD recently, hkg unit, 2 years old.
