Hmm, I read through about YLOD. Most of you guyz say cause by heat....

I wanna ask, hardcore user play how many hours? Medium user is how many hours? People which kena YLOD, you usually put your PS3 Stand-up? or laying flat?

There is some spare usb port....perhaps we can use it NotebookCooler on it or any usb fans to cold down the tempreture. And also, in front of the Intake hole, built a customade Dust filter....avoid dust goes it.....

Just want to give my experience. Mine got YLOD after 3 weeks I got it. And I have only been playing it like 1 hour a day and standing up. So I guess it's quite random as well.

once run f@h non stop for 6months except when playing games & media playing

oh sudah guna 2tahun pun masih nub

jarang guna, sebab tinggal dekat rumah..takut..

ajis aku punyer kena YLoD lps smggu xbukak...ko jgn kang nyesal xsudah kurang pakai...skg nie pun aku dh start lenjan slow2...nk main, main sampai puas...klo ghusak pung puas hati...

Help! What's wrong with my PS3?! I get corrupted XMB when I boot it up.



Going into recovery mode doesn't do much either...



It happened before and I restored my ps3 to get rid of the problem. I used to be able to wait for 10 mins and then it would be back ok. But it kept coming again and with alarming regularity.
I took care of my ps3 like a baby! Should I use a vacuum and suck out the dust? perhaps it's due to heating problems caused by dust?

I'm sad.

it definately has ventilation. If this isn't enough ventilated then I don't know what is.

Mine PS3 is also more than 2 years (frm 2007 APR) and still healthy and i have tried playing games frm morning 9am till midnight 12am non-stop and no YLOD... For those that seldom play and kena is it tat ur room very dusty or having really bad ventilation?
