QUOTE(Klemann C @ Dec 7 2009, 05:25 PM) i dunno whether all myvi same as mine anot... Auto might need higher, my manual got power once hit 3k and above. I think its pretty normal. Normally if I rev, I rev till 100kmh+ with third gear and shift to fourth and fifth gear. Never rev till 5k with fourth gear though as I never go faster than 120 kmh.mine on 4000-4500rpm range.....this is da range torque come alive This post has been edited by 5564321: Dec 7 2009, 05:29 PM |

Hello friends, I own a Manual Myvi SXi edition for about almost 4 years now..
Would like some opinions on my fuel consumption (is it ok or high?).. I always pump RM50 = 27.777 liters (95), below are my average mileage for each pump. City drive (jam, brake, etc bla bla bla [60-80]) :- 320KM Highway drive (Smooth [90-110]) :- 450- 480KM Some additional details :- 1.) Michelin tyre 185 (forgot the model, changed almost a year ago 70% thread left) 2.) 82,000 KM (I drive alot huh? Just finish service 80,000) 3.) Average Mileage per month around 1500-1800. 4.) During weekdays, average jam per day is 1 to 1.5 hours. 5.) Rough driver? (those michelin tyre really tahan lasak compare to the original silverstone >.<") Thats all I could think of.. Was looking through my petrol bills so was wondering whether my car's fuel consumption is high? |

I'm going for my 56k service soon and I notice something amiss with my car... When the car is at idling and the fan is turn off, I notice my rpm drops till like 0.55k and the engine like vibrates a bit and feels like wanna shut off a bit.. The prob is not very serious but I haven't got this problem before this.. From my experience from my other frens car (not myvi) it's because the throttle body needs cleaning d.. Am I right about this??
Another thins is that I did helped out some1 to jump-start his car about a week back in a parking garage.. The jump-start failed then the guy decided to transfer my battery to his car to start-up then transfer back the engine to my car.. This was done with my engine turned off.. Could this be the cause of it?? My battery is already 2 years plus (since I bought the car) and I think it's almost time to to change already also... Added on December 8, 2009, 11:44 pm QUOTE(Klemann C @ Dec 7 2009, 05:04 PM) i found out tat myvi digital fuel meter reading not accurate most of time... I would say this is a normal thing as petrol do expand and contract and in addition, digital meter are not that precise compare to analogue.. Notice sometimes when u turn off the engine the one bar that already dropped will appear back when you start your engine again later?? Waa, u're a really heavy foot driver, I do drive like that sometimes when I'm rushing to my class but not most of the time.. Juz wondering how's ur fuel consumption like??like after fueled up full tank....drive more than 60km only drop 1 bar....then drive another 30km drop to 2nd bar.... sometime drive even more than 80km only drop 1 bar. my driving style remain same, most of time heavy foot....whack untill 4500rpm then shift gear, highway average 120-140kmh i'm using 1.3 auto....
