if that's no issue then great. changing frm my old casing to this drops my inner temp by few C, cpu and gpu.  thumbup.gif

A few C is huge man. We can definitely see the inner is cooler than other conventional casing. Hopefully this year end can get myself a new one.

@edmin
Where got kayaman style. I pick the 2nd hand 90CFM le.. RM20 each. laugh.gif Anyways, buy & install then + tweak the fan spd with voltage modding. In order to get silent setup and good air flow, once must put in some afford. sweat.gif

@Ray
CM690 in need is a good case, due can pasang banyak fan. But dust is the main headache. I clean mine once a week. Lol.. Feel like put filter for all my fan.

Haha.. The 74Gb just for mainly OS partition man. Games & etc will store at my other disk. Yea.. I not sure how far can the P5Q-PRO goes, but with my UD3R i could archive 3.2Ghz with 1:1 ratio. And CIE on.

Btw, Acer H233H rocks. 23 inch, 16:9 full HD, all VGA, HDMI & DVI port available, 2ms response and the mainly thing i buy it is because of the price. RM630 only. lust.gif

P/s: Yea.. Cooler master 90cfm fan.. Rocks! Ask Edmin.. We are damnly satisfied with the performance, silent yet powerful. Good to act as exhaust fan. And RM27 per biji. Damn cheap if compare with those branded like silver stone.
*
The Coolermaster 90CFM fan quality is pretty bad. The blades are not perfectly balanced. It produces a humming sound with vibration. It's using sleeve bearings which is not good. The better fans are definitely worth the money.

ultra 90 so bad?? hmm... i thought i can be better alot than normal 3rd party hfs. hmm.gif

if wanna switch new hfs, throw ultra90 to me... haha. wink.gif jk jk...

Don't know leh. Thats why I headache now. Wondering why performance so lousy. Maybe I should change to a Panaflo 90mm fan. unsure.gif

QUOTE(edministrator @ Jun 7 2009, 09:56 AM)
definitely good airflow and value for money (price range wise). but be aware that it's a dust magnet! i need to wipe the outer grills and the whole casing every 3-4 days...
*
Yup I totally agree. Using the CM690 too, paired with 3 TT Thunderblades and after a few days it gets choked with dust laugh.gif

kayaman's style-always got something new for the rig

my style- never change rig, when force to change, take lots of time then in the end just cheapo upgrade. haha...

@pengster
have you check the thermal paste on the last time you reinstall ultra90? is the thermal paste well spread on the cpu?

else must check your casing's airflow. tower type hfs seems very sensitive on ambient temp as it can absorb the heat faster. just my opinion.

Yeah actually this was the 2nd time I've reinstalled the Ultra90. Used Tuniq TX-2 and followed the directions properly for quad core cpus. Contact seems fine sweat.gif

Ambient temp is about 37-38c so I guess its alright? unsure.gif

How you installed your Ultra90 during the first time? Is there another way to install the haetsink? hmm.gif

checked the reviews for ultra90, the performance is just on par, so i doubt it would give a good temp on newer cpu like 9550.

First time after setting up the new parts I totally didn't know that for quad core cpus you're supposed to apply the TIM in a line across the cpu. So i just did the normal way, a blob in the middle laugh.gif

@edmin
Yeah its a so-so cooler. Will be getting a Red Scorpion soon. Hopefully it can bring down the temps below 50c idle sweat.gif

TIM in a line is going to use less thermal paste than our normal way? This is interesting.

actually is because of the architecture, as for our single core cpu, put a drop in the middle is correct as core is at the middle. as for duo core, core alignment will be horizontal. so apply in a line will optimized contact on top of both cores to the sink. correct me of wrong. tongue.gif
