C2Q is = to i3 technology. Next year C2Q will be the entry level of i series already.

seems like it, e8xxx series also looks like a considerable option, for those who dont really require a quaddie.

but for me, i see amd's option as a better alternative, coz i read that current socket am3 will be around for quite some time.

Best proc from LGA775? QX9650? That one will be very expensive still.

If you notice the price of E8400 and Q8400 is about similar. Best price over performance(multitasking) is still vote to Q8400.

if were to change to quad core, i'd skip intel already, will definitely go for amd phenom II 955 or 965 BE, bang for bucks processor IMHO.

Guys,i manage to downclock my 3.2GHz proc to run at 140FSB which delivers 2.24GHz on the clock currently. rclxms.gif

Me just down clock to default few days ago, I don't see any real performance instead of increasing the rating number. Summore I am using the chicken brand psu and yesterday ordered a cm storm scout casing from lingloong, the case itself comes with bling2 fans top, rear and front + if overclocking I am afraid I'll stress and burn the psu. Next month if budget permits, I am going to order the xigmatek 500w psu also from him.

Totally disagree,you will see the performance if you clock higher than stock about 20%. For normal net surfing of course the clock doesn't help you much,but in gaming it helps a lot. How much is the CM Storm Scout?
