Guys, I need help.

I have a family of 6. I think 3 of us only need data, the rest don't need.

I need to have a family plan that has free calls among the 6 of us, while being able to add on data plan bundles.

I prefer Maxis actually more than any other telcos. DiGi is not my choice anymore due to their lousy network coverage.

Maxis got family plan ma, the internet is added on separately to that.

Alternatively if all using U-mobile prepaid you get certain number of free calls per day for the duration you topup. So if you topup 30 ringgit you get 30 days free call. Then those who need data can get UMI28 or UMI48 or whatever.

Hi there,

I'm planning to visit Malaysia, from Canada, and was hoping someone could give me some advice on Mobile phone plans.

I will be staying for 2 months, and may possibly extend my trip, depending on how everything goes.

I'm assuming, since I'm visiting, easiest way to go would be prepaid.

But I need something that has either unlimited or a good amount of data so I can stay connected on my phone (email, whatsapp, etc.)

Maybe also use it to tether my laptop, if the place I stay at, has no internet.

I don't intend to have too many long phone conversations, but I would like to have a decent amount of minutes, as I will be trying to make business contacts, and I don't want to worry about my phone cutting out, while talking to a potential contact because I didn't have enough minutes.

I will have a business partner with me, but am used to communicating with him via sms, so I will probably need that quite a bit (or I can just whatsapp maybe)

Any advice on which plans may work best for me?

Thanks
MG4

i just got a further info about 58 smart plan, it seem that the 200 min and 200 free sms is not to all networks but to Digi only come to think of it Digi is really ripping us off

Enoughla..2gb for fb and Twitter more than enough. Fb will consume more data than Twitter and whatsapp. Me just umobile 500mb per month.

Same problem here.. Really loved my youth club package. I'm considering whether to subscribe to Hotlink 365 for 1 year validity.. RM33 annual fee though. =/ Anyone got a better recommendation?

Any xpax users here know how to use CC and reload (for the CC rewards). Most convenient method for reload currently for me seems to be Maybank2u, but if I can get 1-5% rebate using one of my credit cards might be worth.

I don't think so, we'll probably go back to a normal Hotlink plan.
