QUOTE Proven: Goodyear DuraPlus can last 100,000 kms When Goodyear launched its 100,000-km tyre – the DuraPlus – there were skeptics among consumers and understandably so. 100,000 kms represents about 4 - 5 years of motoring for many people and the idea of a tyre being able to last that long was a bit hard to accept. Furthermore, the DuraPlus is not one of the expensive specialized tyres with an exotic compound that was specially developed for long life; it is actually an affordably-priced tyre intended for what Goodyear refers to as the 'value segment’. Prior to launch, enough testing by their own engineers had given confidence to Richard Fleming, Goodyear’s ASEAN Managing Director, to boldly make the claim. Not only had the tyres been tested in Goodyear’s own facilities but also on Asian roads so there was no uncertainty about the capability to go 100,000 kms. Of course, that figure depends very much on various factors such as proper care of the tyres (alignment, balancing, pressure) and also driving conditions. Goodyear is confident that most motorists will get the claimed mileage but as Mr Fleming said, it is a 'claim’ and not a 'guarantee’. http://www.motortrader.com.my/NUS/articles...2103/page_m.asp |

guys,
Between Toyo T1R , Yokohama S drive or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, which one has better dry grip? For spirited driving/hard driving. Noise is not an issue. Can some1 also indicate the price for Yokohama S drive(still got new right?) and Goodyear for size 195/55/15. This post has been edited by Wira_lover: Sep 12 2009, 08:23 PM |

Hello I just came back from survey the shop area around Melaka..
Among the best deal is.. Name Shop: CM Tyre And Service Centre (06-3367033) Tyre (195/65 R15) Toyo C1-S=RM 310 COntinental CC-1=RM 220 Michelin XM1=RM 250 The toyo c1-s is made from japan and so does the price is expensive..and somemore the product is new in the market..The michelin primacy Lc is around that price. My top priority is comfort and silent ride.So after been recommend my father change to CCC-1...So what do you think is the price ok???. |
